This has been my attainable dream car since the 90's, before they came to the states. Never could reasonably afford one so I drove lesser Subaru beaters, but loved them regardless. When Subaru announced the discontinuation of the STI, my hand was forced... I bought a 2021 STI Limited with the factory short shifter and lip spoiler, and less than 400 miles on it. Had to make a few lifestyle adjustments, but managed to afford it. All I can say is, if you're on the fence, go for it. He's absolutely right that they're great daily drivers. I've never smiled more just putting around running errands, taking the kids to daycare, or properly utilizing an on-ramp. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Whatever your attainable dream car is, just do it. Life is too short to drive boring cars.

I agree with you I finally got my hatchback sti. I was glad I bought it as soon as possible could. I’ve always owned a Wrx since I was 18…. Now I’m 22 driving a sti. :)

That's a fun car. awd is so good. It's meant to be fast during a sharp right or left turn in the suburbs. You won't slip, no traction control, the feeling of being pulled out of a corner by all 4 tires. You can beat on it and driving to work every morning becomes fun.

2010 hatch sti here. admire your works done on yours. After watched your entire project on it and couldn't help upgrading my ej257 with stage 1 mapping and same spec as yours over intake and intercooler. Thumbs up and support!

2021 sti here. I daily drive mine and I agree it’s a great daily driver. Glad I pulled the trigger and got the 21. The only downside I would say is all the people telling you that you are going to blow your head gaskets all the time or if the car has a built in vape lol.

Dw you probably won’t blow a head gasket. Your piston ringlands on the other hand… just blew mine on the stock block with 350whp 140k miles :( definitely rebuild your internals before you increase boost)

Unfortunately it really is a issue my 2016 sti with 54,000 just had head gasket cause pushing coolant into overflow and clutch done… do you yourself a favor get a little rumbler from the exhaust for enjoyment and keep the warranty alive. After the 60,000 let her eat👍🏻

@@eknapp70 2012 Sti and a 2019 sti here. My 2012 makes 400whp on the stock block it has 143k miles and it's doing great. I run motul oil and do my oil changed at 2,500 miles. Also change sparked plugs every 25,000 miles. I do coolant flushes every 2 years on the dot as well. My 2019 same thing. It does great but that one is basically new.

My 2020 STI is a great daily driver. I will never sell my STI. I owned a 2017 WRX and upgraded to the 2020 STI this year. The STI is pure mechanical driving experience. A great video brother. Subies forever.

I love my mustang gt but my sti that I drive more regularly is way more fun and livable. Evos and stis have always been my favorite cars to own. I love what all cars have to bring to the table and the evo/sti platforms have always been great.

2005 sti here. I get compliments everywhere I go. Ppl love the older sti's. I personally like the older ones better. The new ones are cool too tho. If u want an sti go buy one they truly are amazing cars.

2012 Sti hatch here. 110,000 miles on original motor and clutch, not one problem with it. Best car I've ever owned.

Love this video. I have a 2020 WRX STi that is Lapis Pearl Blue that is still completely stock. Haven't even hit 10k miles yet. I am wanting to do some work, but am usually hesitant to do so. But this video inspired me to want to get it done. The problem is, to find some reputable enough to do the work.

Usually not a fan of aftermarket bumpers, but these look really good! And for some reason, the rear bumper kinda reminds me of the 22 WRX rear bumper 😆 Obviously way better looking, but that 22 bumper definitely came to mind when I seen this Varis. Love the car though, very clean and subtle touches. 👌🏼

Was on the list for a '22 last year before they decided that '21 was the last year. Managed to snag a low mileage '18 around Easter. Still has warranty, so I'm not planning on modding anytime soon(except possibly the head unit).

STi has been my dream car since they came to the states when I was little. Got my WR blue last year and absolutely LOVE it. I have COBB Stage 3 package, IAG AOS, Cyl 4 cooling mod, kartboy shifter and bushings (biggest pain in the ass to install), Idoing androids headunit (HIGHLY recommended). Radiator is definitely next, gets REALLY hot and humid here in NJ

Well done with the STI yall, i have a 2019 crystal white pearl, same color as yalls, STI and i am working on most of the mods that yall did.... other than the varis kit i would never be able to find those. lol you guys did this one super tasteful. I have done a lot of carbon in the interior, and some on the outside but man if i had the cash i would make a similar build, Anyone wants a canvas to rep some parts holler at your boy and lets make a build haha,
