There's something immensely appealing to me about the low, long, linear body lines of this generation of cars, especially when they've been lowered. You've got the tall cabin, but low sills and the body is just at the same height as the sills. It's great. Fantastic work, guys.

The first thing most new e30 owners do is the diving board bumpers. Being in Ca. you probably can't modify them, I don't know. I have two 325e's a 86 saloon and a 87 coupe. The 4 door has an automatic which I really liked. The two door is a 5 speed with a megalithic flywheel (I think it was 65lbs if I remember). I noticed you didn't mention the difference between the e and the i models. The e is a low RPM motor and develops its power in the 2,500-3,500 rpm range. I like that. It's easy to drive and has plenty of torque. (And it sounds like a WWII air plane engine. The plane engines back then were low rpms too.) The rev limiter is absurdly low. 4,000 rpm I think it was.The first time I banged up against the limiter I thought I broke the car. ( First car with a limiter.) I bought a cheap ass $29.00 chip clone off eBay and it's been working fine for 20+ years. The i is a higher rpm engine and develops more HP, but slightly less torque at higher rpms. The i head has dual valve springs and sodium filled valves for higher rpms. One thing that the e really needs is a 3.25 lsd. Most e's came with 2.70 or 2.92 diffs. You can find the 3.25's in the 5 series of the same generation. It makes all the difference in the world. It's a little buzzy at freeway speeds 65+ but it's okay. I love my e30 and I get a lot of compliments on it when I drive someplace. I was puzzled about it a first, but then I realized that it's old enough it's boxy shape appeals to people. When I got my first e30 and did research on them I thought that these cars are like the 55 Chevy's when I was a kid in the sixties. You can put a variety of engines in them with little hassle and the chassis is already a great design. 4 wheel disk brakes, power assisted rack and pinon steering, 4 wheel independent suspension and ABS standard. The price of these cars outside CA. is crazy. They are worth it. P.S. Great video and production, subscription added. Thank you!

My dad bought an E34 1994 525i back in the day. It was a 5 speed, in Calypso Red Metallic and I've been trying to buy one ever since. One day I'll find a nice one cheap and be able to get it. When I was 14 my dad went out of town on a business trip and I took his car to school and on my way home the clutch went out and I had to push it home on my own for 1.5 miles...and then I reached the small upgrade in front of my subdivision in Florida and I couldn't push it any further. A pizza delivery guy tried to help, but it was too heavy for the two of us, so a local cop stopped to give a hand and the three of us pushed it to the front of my subdivision. Thank GOD he never asked me for a license or anything. He just asked me who's car it was and my dad had an old car phone in it, so I told him that I was trying to get a hold of my dad and he told me to have a nice day and left. He was one of the coolest cops I've ever met. That was in Brandon, Florida back in 1997, and I'd still like to shake that officer's hand, thank him again, and explain to him the situation that he walked into. I was everything but my dad's son for the next two weeks after he found out that the clutch was gone and he had to pay $1600 to have it replaced. The mechanic even told him that the clutch was just completely worn out, and it didn't matter who was driving it, it was shot, but my dad didn't believe it. I can't say that I blame him for being mad, I would've been too.

@binkleyme it's better to live a life with hope that there's more to it, then to live your life in disbelief and be wrong. It costs nothing to believe in Jesus, it costs nothing to say a prayer every now and again. And at the end of life if we are wrong, so be it. But if you're wrong, you have the rest of eternity to regret it. That's how I like to think. If that's delusion, I'm outta my mind. But I'd rather believe and be wrong, than be wrong cause I didn't believe
