Hello Team throtl, this is just an idea which I had in my mind while watching your videos for about 2 years. I think you should initiate a separate channel like "Throtl School" where you provide step by step guidance on assembling these new parts, showing how it's done and what are the pros and cons to select any part etc. It's basically you show in depth teaching and guiding people to obtain the mechanical knowledge and many more etc. I know you talk about in detail about these parts assembling but what I suggest is step by step instruction videos. There will be some extra effort but I think you can create these videos while recording the main video, I believe this will help people to obtain more knowledge when the necessity arrives. Love watching your journey and keep it up guys 💪💪🔥🔥 🇱🇰

Haven't watched the video yet. But some race's require a independent braking system from the primary for redundancy. As a emergency stop, using a electronic parking break makes that easier than having to run lines and a reservoir or a cable. This is purely speculation of course on the why they did it.

And you can still run a hydro brake for the rear off the main caliper. I'm a huge fan of a secondary caliper park brake. Keeps the heat off the pad and rotor when you stop after getting hot.

Nearly every single big brake kit for the rear does not/can not incorporate a hydraulic handbrake without adding a second smaller caliper. This is one of the only kits that incorporates the electronic handbrake into the main unit

I would run a hydraulic rear hand brake(drift) in parallel with a 1 way check valve using the rear 4 piston calipers. Still keep the E-brake single piston as well for parking.

I'm surprised Will didn't address the functionality of the soft top + e-brake. Curious to know if the Willwood accounts for that functionality or if Will had to work some sort of programming magic to make it work. For those that don't know, the e-brake has to be engaged in order for the soft top motors to function on an S2000.

My two cents on the build so far. The rear bumper is throwing the look of the build off for me. Not a fan, but thats personal preference. The E-brake, that should 100 percent be powered without the key on. Every modern car with electronic e brakes maintain power while the vehicle is off. Besides those two minor things, I’m loving the build so far. Keep up the great work!

Shouldn't be soldering anyways. There's a reason why majority of connections from factory are crimped. There are specific reasons to solder. Also why would you want electric parking brake on a RWD. Should have thrown a hydro in there.

I thought bigger brakes didn't mean better stopping power. Its mostly the quality of the tires.

Correct but "bIgGeR iS bEtTeR". If you're locking up tyres on the stock brakes you're just going to lock them up quicker. Tyres are the single most important thing for improving brake performance. The main reason to upgrade to bigger brakes on the s2000 is cost effectiveness. The s2000 has a tendency to shift the bias to the fronts after the OEM solid rear rotors overheat and then the fronts overheat also. This then leads to cracked rotors and excessive/accelerated pad wear etc. Going to a bigger front bbk is a large upfront cost but over time the cost balances out and the bbk starts saving you money.
