Hey buddy think about my idea I did. On my '69 Chevy 3/4 ton 4-speed 4x4 I mounted a Badland 12,000lb. winch under my toolbox in my 8' box, bolted the mounting plate right through floor and then through frame with (6) 1/2 " grade 8's. Put a hawse fairlead on my tailgate to guide cable or put gate down. Has a remote not any damn cable controller. LOVE IT!! I am from N.E. Iowa ---no big rock crawling parks but boy I've used this winch more in a year than I thought in a lifetime. I love your building ethic---if you knew me that's a BIG comp. I am sure you've heard of me or seen one of my 250 '67-'72 Chevy/GMC 4x4's I HAVE HAD FOR SALE in the "Wheeler Dealer" mag for sale for 37 years. GREAT BUILD!!!!!!!

Sounds very cool! Thank you for watching and sharing! God Bless!

you should be able to undo just the ferrell nut and slide the housing alone past the inner sliding cable and safely cut the housing to suit the length you need. i could be wrong but my kit for my 4x4 lockout on my front axle was the same way that connects on the back just didnt twist

Now i might do that to my 1971 GMC truck. I know i need to replace my old carburetor. My question is why holley versus other brand.
@GebBuilt6 жыл бұрын
Very cool, it is an easy upgrade with several benefits not to mention cool factor. I grew up with Holley Carbs working with my uncle and grandpa and have always appreciated their versatility, ease of service and tuning characteristics. I've tried Edelbrock, Rochester, and Carter but have always gone back to Holley!
@thecatfelix29886 жыл бұрын
+GebBuilt .Good to know. I was going to get edelbrock .I may get a kit for my existing holley or a new holley .I think the price is higher than edelbrock?
@GebBuilt6 жыл бұрын
yes I believe they are higher but worth it in my opinion. If you want to take it a step further then look into the MSD Atomic Electronic Fuel Injection!
@GebBuilt6 жыл бұрын
Actually Holley has a self learning EFI as well that may be better than the MSD now that I think about it.

+GebBuilt .I will check out. what you suggested sounds interesting. But i really want to do less wiring possible. You know( EMP proof ) no computer the better.

@KU4PC9 жыл бұрын
What is the purpose of this build/truck?
@REAPER0D9 жыл бұрын
+KU4PC its meant as a work truck. twin stick can be used for towing especially heavy objects in wet ground to get as much dig without wheelspin. compressor for airing tires and using air tools on the go. id suggest quick connect battery terminals in the nose and tail he can connect special jumper cables too with a plug or run it to a converter for electric tools on the go. he knows whats up, step dad had a ford similarly built with these needs in mind
