Great Video! You nailed my exact thoughts about the sitting position and interior quality of the focus ST. I traded mine just recently for a 370z. HUGE difference in the driving experience!

I work for Nissan and drive 370s a fair amount, the trans is so loud almost like their running straight cut gears. Interior is not that nice either, no low end power...exterior is a little bubbly...idk to each there own hope you enjoy it that's all that matters!

Great video, hope you get a Fiesta St to review, having had the fiesta st and now a 17 wrx, I miss some of the parts of the st vs. wrx. The Fiesta felt more playful, the Wrx is much better in the winter, no surprise there. I surprised that more people don't get the fiesta st to be honest.

I'm 6'2" and around 180lbs. I LOVE the front seating. Personally I like to sit up "high" and the ST1's seats are perfect. I tried the Recaros but their side bolsters cut into my back, so I went with the base seats and am glad I did.

Yeah man I fully disagree about the interior for this car. Its fantastic. I guess I'm one of the five. I worked on performance cars for a long time and I've sat in all the competing hatches and 4 door sedans. The only interior that comes close is an Audi Rs4 around 09 version. Not a fan of its v8 motor but the interior for that car is excellent. Evos and the WRX dont feel great inside to me. The st interior has plastic but it's like you dont even notice. But in the wrx and evos you notice the plastic because its everywhere. Currently sitting in a Evo iv. Blue. Looks sexy. Feels meh.

I dislike synthetic noise. What this car uses is NOT synthetic noise. It's actual noise the engine is making being directed into the cabin, and how can noise MY CAR'S ENGINE IS MAKING be fake? The cars with special speakers playing recorded noise or, god forbid, ones that use the MUSIC SPEAKERS to play completely fake noise are another issue entirely.

I actually have the complete opposite opinion on the interior. I love the ST's interior with the ST3 package. The subaru WRX in comparison feels a lot cheaper and bland.
@marcinosiecki18157 жыл бұрын
Shane Hodson I also like Focus ST's interior very much. Ok, maybe is a little bit cheap and plastic but it's not so boring like in GTI.
@NottaSpy7 жыл бұрын
Marcin Osiecki The Subaru WRX has the worst interior in terms of plastic and being cheap. There's just something about the ST that I love though.
@jeremycastro24917 жыл бұрын
Shane Hodson I feel like he was way to critical of the st interior. For its price point and the performance of the car I think the interior is the better end of its class. It's a hot hatch not a Lexus
@Sigrafix7 жыл бұрын
This guy is literally the only person I've ever seen/heard say that the interior in the Focus ST doesn't look good.. that's usually one of it's positive points. I too think the interior looks good.. albeit a bit grey/blac.. could use some color.
@ThrottleHouse7 жыл бұрын
I find the interior to be over-done like Ford was trying to hard to make it "cool" and "exciting." I'm more of a fan of simple well made interiors, that look good because of their build quality, ergonomics, and materials, not because they poured plastic into a really "zany" mold.
@VAspeed37 жыл бұрын
I shimmed the gas pedal up with a small flat peice of wood under the pedal module.. No kidding. Took 10 minutes, now heel/toe works great with size 11 feet. I like the seats, and I drive for 6 or 7 hours once in a while.
@VAspeed3Күн бұрын
I'm back and now it is 2024. I have 170,000 miles and the car is now 10 years old. Other than wear parts (tires, brakes, etc) I've had to replace a heater hose -- that's it. The heated Recaros are still wonderful and still look almost new. No squeaks or rattles if any kind and the chassis still feels solid as a bank vault. I think it's abut as perfect as a car can be. Now that I've said this, watch it blow up tomorrow.

I love my ST. It’s the same race red and I don’t think the R or the STI look anywhere near as good. I think the ST has way more benefits than what you say. I personally love the interior though I agree the touch screen is far away. One thing for sure is these cars have so much personality and that’s why I’d buy another in a heart beat.

*It's too bad most of these car channels, for whatever reason, never got around to doing a review on the Fiesta ST until long after it was gone. So any channels that decide to cover it now are reviewing beat up or modified ones now.*

It's not really fake noise in the sense that the engine is actually making that sound, unlike bmw who actually plays noise through the speakers (CHEESY GIMMICK). Think of it as a cold air intake that won't hydro lock your engine if you drive through a big puddle.
@ThrottleHouse7 жыл бұрын
+tomtom255 it's true. It's not "fake" per se, but it's still intentionally pumped into the cabin by a little device.

Can anyone tell me the notable differences(interior and/or exterior) between a 2016 model year and a 2017 model year Focus ST? Or send me a link...? I was thinking about getting a 2016 just because of the lower price and maybe getting ST3 trim level for it as well. Since it should be cheaper(?) overall if it's last years model vs. a 2017 Focus ST with ST3 trim.
@jjcarillocarillo10547 жыл бұрын
from what i know CarPlay already installed in the Sync 3 system.
@jonkR967 жыл бұрын
JJ Carillo Carillo THX!! Do you know if the 2016 has the flat-bottomed steering wheel? Unfortunately, I'm waiting to see if my recent speeding ticket is going to add points to my license, if it does a 2017 FoST will be around $170/monthly(Too high for a damn Focus), if no points then it will be about $114 which is fine with me. Was thinking about getting a 2016 if it isn't much of a difference than a 2017.
