He also raced slot cars too with his brother Scott Scott and I were in the carpentry program together. That’s a European Ford Escort XR3 from the very early 1980s. Both AMT and Revell issued kits in 1/25 around 1981/2 or so. Look up Escort XR3 XR-3 or XR3i and you’ll find all the info. There was an American market version too with a different front end.

The Ford turbo engine, never seen or heard of one. I'm guessing it was an experimental concept thing. $1000.00 for a Hot Wheels Deora ⁉️ that's waaay out of line. Is this one of those shows that is done at the same time each year❓ if so I need to get to it next year.

@@THROTTLEPOWER Other than model kits I seen many other things I'm into like HO slot cars, which is what the show is about, seen a tiny bit of HO train stuff, Redline Hot Wheels, Matchbox cars ( pre superfast), Ideal Motorific's, I was interested in the old 1/32 scale Struamburg (?) slot car sets, love the 1/24 slot cars but the track, you would need a 2 car garage to set up in. Even seen some monster model kits.

To think. I was 3 to 4 years old depending on what part of '68 Hot Wheels were released. And we played with them. Chipped them up, buried them in the sand box. Smashed them up with hammers, and in vices. Never knowing them and Matchbox cars, and other toys would be worth big bucks.
