Through Arteries new single "Grave" is out now everywhere: tinyurl.com/th...
New album "Laughs in Depression" and more info coming soon.
_________
Cross into decade three
Can’t keep apart my nostalgia and anxiety
What’s wrong with me?
For a brief second I thought maybe I’d never leave
I bite my tongue to feel something
Then I ask why you bail on me
What’s the worst that could happen
Remove myself from reality?
The worst part’s the thought you won’t miss me
Wait, why am I thinkin that?
I feel like I’m digging my grave
I feel like I’m stuck in my ways
I feel like I can’t escape
Over and over again
I feel like I’m digging my grave
I feel like I’m buried in shame
I feel like I can’t escape
Over and over again
I've been digging my grave
[Bryan Kuznitz]
I don’t know what to believe
I fear this will be the end of me
You could tell me a thousand reasons why
But nothing’s ever gunna fix my mind
I need god to help me
I’m not okay I’m not healthy
I wish that I felt normal inside
Take away my urge to die
It’s suffocating
I can’t breathe
It’s controlling
Let me out

Just heard the song with THE Eric July and now I've listened to half a dozen of your songs. Wow. This one brought up some emotion I've been feeling a bit here and there. Good stuff. Good heart. Great sound.

Thanks so much man. I wrote these new songs with a lot of raw emotion, something I hadn’t done much before. I’m glad to hear that anyone has been touched by it!

I don't care what anyone says. PLEASE make more music like this. BMTH is about the closest to this sound I have heard and I have been searching a lot! There are not many bands that can master that Electroni-core style without the whole Myspace emo bullshit sound to them. Even the drop for the chorus is heavy and I fucking love it! I personally love Metal music that has such heavy emotional choruses like this song where you want to just scream out the lyrics and sing along and feel like you're on stage even though you are just in front of your mirror. (Personally I don't care for full screaming metal music. Clean vocals add a lot of passion and soul to a song.) Too many metal songs are either cringey bands TRYING to sound tough with growls and screams or are too depressing. I want to hear the singer belting his heart out and really pushing that emotion to the audience like a swift punch in the face. I am a writer and music helps me, I want music that can help me picture my characters fighting, struggling or overcoming to the music. I want a roller coaster that takes you along for the ride. This hit that spot really well. As someone who has dealt with a ton of depression in my life it also hits that emotional spot without having to be sad or slow. This song has become an addiction for me and I play it at the gym all the time. To be honest, I hope to hear more music soon.

Man I’m glad to hear it. I’ve never written about depression, always just pretend it doesn’t affect me, so it’s nice to see this song be received well. It’s something I truly think everyone deals with in life in some way, that’s why I had me and Bryan hit the topic head on. Long winded but thanks for the support! We’re def bringing a lot more music like this, we all are children of rock music, not heavy music, and that influence is coming full force in this album.

@@througharteries That is amazing to hear! I personally love Rock music but I feel like there has not been many bands getting that fine line between metal and rock quite right. They are either Rock like classic rock or extremely heavy metal. When you search Hard Rock you just get dad band music lol. I hope music truly gets you through your day and brings out the best in you like your music does for us.

Glad to see you guys are back in action making tunes. Loved The Life, Death and Rebirth of... This Ain’t a Business, This is a Murder Scene is one of my favourites ❤️ sad to say I never even knew you had an EP before that, so I’ll have to do some digging now. Can’t wait for more new material though, maybe you can somehow coax Nick Mathews out of hiding and do another feature too 😎🤟🏻🙏 Bryan killed it here too btw, been loving that new Fame on Fire album so much, great mixture of pop style vocals and post-hardcore, but very different from their Transitions EP, ya chose another great feature!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻❤️❤️🔥🔥 much love guys, keep up the great work and stay safe out there!!

I thought since it sounds so low, it is played in drop around g, g#, or more lower (7 string) Surprisingly, is it played with 6 string guitar? Moreover, add this into my Spotify playlist ❤

Nope! Drop C on a 6 string, but most of the guitars have octaver pedals going to make it sound deep!
