When my dad heard these guys on Octane, he got obsessed with this song. Now when it plays on the radio, we scream at the top of our lungs singing. We love it.

Underrated gem. I actually can't believe that this song isn't as popular as it should be.
@GaryBowen00 Жыл бұрын
The problem is it's been an underrated gem since it was first released in 2005 when the band was called Emphatic. This isn't the original singer and it's barely part of the original band. Actually the original singer of this song ended up leaving to sing in Fuel. This song would have been a bigger hit if an entire generation had not previously heard it. This is the best version but I had this in my workout mix in 2006. Look this band up they have a history of not being able to stay together and this is the most stable lineup they have managed to keep ever. Not dissing them at all. Just saying it's hard to be a hit song when there are people out there who have been listening to it for well over a decade.
@@GaryBowen00 That makes sense, I had suddenly remembered this song after having the place it was in a super old playlist I had be vacant. Listened to this and it felt off, I personally like the sound of the original singer better but this is still a banger.
@GaryBowen00 Жыл бұрын
@@Art3Onyx Patrick Wilson is a great singer but once he suffered a cracked larynx they went back and forth with a bunch of singers. Toryn was the best of the replacements and he's a really nice guy. I actually don't know if he ever recovered or what the current singer's name is but I'm going to look it up now that I'm curious. I support this band and I'm happy they're getting recognized for some of their other really good songs.

What an absolute masterpiece by THROUGH FIRE that truly sounds wicked. From the instruments, beautiful vocals and lyrics and a message anyone can relate to makes this a memorable rock gem. When I was feeling low this song was the one I listened to and showed me I was stronger than any of my bullies and they couldn't keep down only if I let them. Don't let the negativity from toxic individuals around you drag you down as the poor self image they want to give you is a reflection of them not you and regardless of what your nationality or background is we all have the power to be stronger than them and their negativity. Thank you THROUGH FIRE for this inspiring song and hope more people check your stuff out as you and your music are legendary.

I was trying to figure this out...it's exact same song so emphatic is now through fire?
@GaryBowen008 жыл бұрын
+Justin Walker Toryn Green sang the Emphatic version. This is Grant who sounds very similar and this is actually the first time the song has appeared on a record. The original version was a demo. I wish Toryn had stayed in the band as he gave them a major-label credibility by being the former singer of Fuel for one album and Apocalyptica's touring vocalist. His production skills was the reason the demo sounded finished and not much different than this version. Evidently they had creative differences and he left while Emphatic was touring with Red.
@rarityclarity37248 жыл бұрын
