@@ShadowL8er Used the rock band 3 chart as a template to try make it as close to as Festival would of done. But in saying that Born This Way did get a rechart from RB3 so it's not impossible that they could chart some of the key parts now. A lot of the RB3 era stuff didn't have keys on lead.

i really hope this gamemode brings more people to guitar hero. i know a lot of kids who play this game wasnt even born when GH was around, so theres an entire new audience for the genre. GH has a smaller community nowadays and less people are playing but the community is great and the game is a bunch of fun. festival looks way easier (?) but im assuming its catered towards people who didnt play guitar hero all their lives like me, and younger audiences. tho i didnt try it yet, who am i to judge. ggs

yeah, i am one of those people i grew up with THPS but not GH i didn’t really get on GH until oct 2023, and i see why people were so interested in the game back then it looks enticing as hell playing real cool songs with a guitar in a game. GH has actually helped advanced my liking of the Guitar and Rock Music. So, I’m genuinely glad i was able to find out about it.

My wife prefers Guitar hero but I prefer Fortnite Festival. She likes Guitar Hero because the guitar makes her feel like a rockstar, I like FF because the input device is much cleaner, easier to use, and higher quality.

@@peterchristensen8843 you can still play guitar hero (/ Clone Hero, the PC version) with keyboard if thats what you enjoy. one thing about fortnite festival is its not very customisable is it? dont you need to pay for songs, and arent there a limited amount too? in clone hero you can customise just about anything. notes, highway, colours, background images/video and theres just about unlimited songs to play. if you run out of playability in FF id give it a shot

The way the game can tell if a song uses a guitar or a synth is built into the chart file. At the time charters didn't know how to do this in Festival. We've also figured out how to actually animate the drums as well through the chart files and will continue to experiment once partypack comes back.

Nope, the scores are based off of the original map that the modded one is writing over, meaning that the actual score being submitted to the leaderboards is usually very low because you're not hitting in the places the notes would usually show up, meaning you can't go over the note cap and you won't have any scores higher than the original song. Everything about partypacker is solely client side and will not affect the servers
