As a very, very, very, mediocre guitar player, I watch a lot of videos by players of different styles and skill levels. Your playing of songs of differing styles is superb. I enjoy them tremendously. Especially this one. Your take on it was excellent. Continued success to you. I will be checking out your CD.

Awe inspiring. This is a seriously complex David Foster composition made to look totally effortless! Has to be one of the greatest guitarists I have ever encountered. Brilliant!

Jake I just want to say how blessed I am to have been watching your videos for years. You are very inspiring and are a true master of the guitar. I have always been interested in fingerstyle, but having size 18 ring finger and former football player, it leaves me with regular chording as a rhythm guitarist in my church as well as my band. You are truly one of the greats in a world of commercialized wannabees. I have been showing my wife and two daughters (5 & 3) your videos for a while now and let them know that this is MUSIC and how a guitar is the tool that can make it. Jake, I tip my hat and you will always have fans in S.C.

Truly amazing the way you handle your guitar. I've been playing the guitar for quite some years now. In an era of modern computer-created music, it's a true relieve to hear and see someone playing the guitar the way you do. Very inspiring! Thanks!

Like your other subscribers I think I'm running out of adjectives to describe the treatment you give to a song - any song. Beautiful voicings there and so, so musical. And in F! Man, I'm taking my hat off to you here.

Jake, That is an amazingly technically complete arrangement, five stars! Thanks for posting this gem. Best Regards, Carl

I can't believe I missed this video! I just love that song and the way you've rendered it is just beautiful! One more thing: looks like there's no chord fingering, no matter how much "acrobatic", able to stop you to make your ideas become sound... I can guess all the years you spent studying, practicing and playing, playing, playing, with so much dedication and passion... it shows its results, man! Thank you for sharing!!! Thumb up + fav.

Dear Jake, I accidentally came across your music. Being a guitar player myself (bass guitar my main type instrument) I now apply some of your techniques on the bass. Man! must I say what an inspiration. I also try to play the guitar like you and another one of my favorite guitar players Walter Rodriques. You guys turned my music world upside down. Why? because I am left handed and I work hard at some of the difficult stuff you guys posted. One day is one day, then I'll come over there and play some music with you.

Jake, not only you have great arranging skills, even more importantly you have great taste in selecting great tunes. In todays commercial music a good melody supported by nice harmony seems to be a luxury few young artists can afford. By the way,,,,I am still waiting for some Weather Report....... I know it will come. Keep up the great work.

@jreichbart I see you are using a lot of jazz chords, the way you stretch your fingers but is this guitar tuned to standard tuning? Or does it sound that way because of the strings/pickup you use? It sounds sorta like a ukelelle -- im sure I'm not describing it correctly but this doesn't sound like your normal jazz guitar..the sound sounds "tinyier" or something. I just can't pinpoint what it is tho. would you mind explaining? I'm a guitarist and I like learning new things. excellent playing man
