Flying a DJI Mini 4 Pro through the woods in the back of our farm. It's really grown up since last fall and in addition to lots of green and brown branches, there are quite a few deadfalls that need to removed. But before all that work, I decided to try to fly the drone through the woods.
I made it pretty far before failing to avoid a small branch that brought down the drone. I fetched and relaunched it and then followed it for a while (had to turn off obstacle avoidance at one point because I insisted on flying through a very narrow space) before the battery ran low enough to initiate a return to home and and I landed it
One thing I learned (aside from scouting the path before attempting to fly) was to keep the gimbal pitched at zero degrees (looking straight ahead) most of the time, only occasionally looking down to check on obstacles below. I also found obstacle avoidance to be very helpful except for that one time I wanted to fly through a very narrow place.
I didn't allow the drone to complete "return to home" flight because I wasn't sure there was enough battery left, but I was impressed with its obstacle avoidance flight path using RTH set on "optimum."
