On the other hand I love it because it’s the only anime that the females aren’t weak and cry all the time (except Lucy but that’s not a manga problem she is not that of a crybaby in the manga’s). And they don’t have a protagonist that always complains about his misfortune every 5 pages or an annoying loud idiot, Natsu is even weak compared to others mages of his guild compared to others over the top powerful protagonists. I would say its more like 50% action 35% ecchi and 15% comedy

You need to watch this anime. At first it is kinda slow with humor in annoying places but the Phantom Arc is where it starts to get really good.

Yeah it is one of the best FIGHT animes. But i believe that One Piece, Fairy Tail, Naruto and other have much more epic story and are more inspirational than DBZ where you just wanna blow away everyone who is in your way. Just my opinion though ;) And btw i am a dbz fan too xD

Well that's your opinion, I agree it doesn't have a good story etc., but that doesn't really matter! In mine opinion DBZ is THA best fighting anime ever. All the animes that came after DBZ were all inspired by DragonBall Z like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece etc.

Actually no its not, yah it made alot of money but you arent thinking outside of the box. What if Astro Boy didnt become so popular? That could have shut out all doors for DBZ even to make it past the publication process. You wouldnt know the impact Astro Boy had because you werent alive at the time nor have you most likely done any research on the subject. Asto Boy was the first popular animated series world wide, which yet again helped future animes (DBZ, Naruto etc) get their foot in the door
