Who can produce images on such high music? Nobody. Have you noticed not the level but the depth of its framing and subjects? The trees ... always present, these beings who look like us and from which we draw strength. When the roots join the high branches, one attends the heart of the intimacy in its pure beauty, it is just unique, it is the All.

I really like your modular setup. Very modest yet you can still do so much with it, it really shows that you are getting the most out of each individual module. Can I ask how you got started hardware wise with modular? I’ve been playing with software for a while now and I want to get started on a plan for taking the hardware plunge but I don’t know where to start at all. I know that every person should be building their own instrument for what they want but I feel like I know nothing about what modules are out there. The only thing I know is that I want a small, compact case with 2 rows on it like the one you have here. Could you please give me some tips for where to start. Thank you
@TerekkiTerekki
@TerekkiTerekki 5 жыл бұрын
blueshades try vcv rack it’s free and has all the mutable instruments modules - you’ll get a good idea of what works for you b4 spending on the hardware.

Do you recommend any tutorials on how to make this kind of ambient music? Is it completely random or is there a pattern or structure the plucks?
@GrootsieTheDog
@GrootsieTheDog 4 жыл бұрын
Cheese Mc Dude The way to achieve this quality of floating sound is not too difficult - you don’t need a eurorack ( some rack sequencers will do the randomizing for you but you don’t need them to achieve this music/quality/sound - I find it’s more interesting and challenging to create your own sequences that have a perceived random quality) >>>> First, keep it simple ~ a lead sound, a pad sound or two - to create a foundation, maybe an additional melodic or broken chord sound that complements the main lead sound and adds additional texture. Make sure to keep in mind frequency ranges - part 1: Low frequency sound. Part 2: Mid quality and so on etc. This way the mix won’t get muddy. The next important thing is to have loops that are independent of each other with their own length. This way the loops “phase” ~ meaning, every time they repeat, there is variation in the way the loops interact with each other every time they loop. Another technique to keep in mind ~ each loop should have random or human timing ~ Sequence each part with the idea that the tempo moves about - not dots on a strict grid. There are always exceptions to the rule - you could add a very quantized arpeggio to play over all the free tempo to creat a rhyming pulse for example. Think of all this like the environment around you - some sounds pass by slowly. Others very fast but only once. Other sounds fade in and out infrequently far off in the distance. All these sounds have unique rhythmic and musical qualities. That’s true ambient! Press play and listen to the magic happen all by itself ~ the term for this is “generative” music. There are many forms of generative music and this s just one form. The generative quality happens through the phasing of the loops creating unexpected musical relationships and very little perceived repetitiveness (even though there is plenty of repetition).
