In our service Sunday my pastor gave a similar comparison. He said if a someone wants muscles like Arnold Schwarzenegger he doesn't just say to his muscles, "hey, show up! I want to be strong" because nothing happens. He has to put the time and effort in by having good nutrition and going to the gym to pump iron. And he can't go just once or on occasion, it has to be routine. Basically a habit. Spending time with Jesus is the same. We have to make the effort because just saying we want to do it produces nothing. Our spiritual muscles don't grow if we don't spend time with Him. 💪🙏

Lord Jesus please give me strength. I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children.
