I don’t think so much the music itself, but the business YES! She hated having to deal with the business side of things, having her trust betrayed, dealing with record label issues, not realizing how beef rap battles could be deadly, and working so hard that she forgot what made music fun for her in the beginning. Sadly in just a few months things would get worse for Foxy because her uncle, Frederico de la Asuncion, was one of 265 fatalities in the ill fated American Airlines Flight 587 crash on November 12, 2001.

@TheRedgoldenchild5 жыл бұрын
@@reinaldoalvarado4884 The difference between you and I is I was 16 when 'Get Me Home' was released. I also remember the budget and promotion for "'Ain't no Ni**er' and the LL Cool J 'I Shot Ya! (REMIX)' In comparison to the Foxy Brown and Jay-Z days; the production for the *Broken Silence* album was not multi-million dollar music production like *I'll Nana* which featured production from *Track Masters* and other BIG Name producers of the time. I'm British Jamaican and liked Broken Silence but at the time it was deemed too Hard Core Reggae/Dancehall for Hip-Hop Radio. The music video and single 'Oh Yeah had mild success but the music industry started to turn it's back on Foxy when she started to date Baby Cham and rap with a Jamaican accent! This style was new unlike now with mainstream artist rapping with a Jamaican accent on everything. This album is a ghetto classic but not mainstream. That's a good thing too!
@TarHeelBlueFreak4 жыл бұрын
TheRedgoldenchild This is a PERFECT summarization of that album. By all means was it in no way a bad album, but compared to her other 2 albums you can easily see a difference in the quality of production and direction. She made a street classic but it didn’t really stack up to the other two albums. Plus her untouchable flow was not showed at all on this album

I loved this interview if only for Foxy Brown. i had no idea she able to laugh at herself and stuff. like she didnt get mad at wendy not one bit. even though wendy kept asking her about drugs and men. foxy even talked about how she doesnt even hate kim enough, or at all, to be able to have a “feud” with her. (but the industry doesnt want you to know that foxy doesnt hate kim at all, which is why no one talked about that part). how freakin humble. how freakin sincere. how freakin classy, foxy brown was in this interview
