I just did it. Ordered the Dreaming Way Tarot. My deck collection is growing greatly during lockdown, and I’m enjoying every one of them. So grateful for this community, not just to acquire decks for the sake of it, but for the insight and deepening of our collective spiritual paths. And the fun and pleasure of it all!

I absolutely love the backs! When I first saw it before at a yt video deck collection, I was like that is one beautiful back! I think the backing of the decks represent the essence of the card images themselves.

Way Dreaming Tarot has my favorite High Priestess of all time... Can't help myself!... It speaks to me as few HP does... And the Death card... It's gorgeous and really demands us introspection... It's one of my favorite decks... The backs... I like it indeed, because it reminds me the flow of underwater and Klimt's aesthetics... I sometimes use the respective Lenornand as a complementary oracle. Just love this deck... BTW, great review as always.

Watching this! I was unpacking some of my cards from last years move and saw this one. It caught my attention. I had modified it, but not when I was that good. So...Re-modifying!

yea the backs creep me out too, which is so unfortunate because I love the images. I just can't with the backs, so I shuffle them face side up and deal them out face side up. I have been considering re-backing it forever, but scared to ruin it. I enjoy boarder-less look you gave your deck.

I was just thinking before you said...It's like steampunk but without the steam! No metal/industrial element. But the feel reminds me of steampunk. A bit illustrative children's-book too.

Hi….thanks for the throw back review you did of these cards, even though I’m several years late! I see you altered your deck a bit….what did you use to cut it? What did you use to edge it in green? Do you like it in its altered state, or do you wish you had left it intact? I’m always afraid that cutting it will weaken the paper image piece that’s laying on top of/glued to the top….does it weaken it, do you think, or no?

I used to guillotine to trim it and a Windsor and newton pro marker to edge the cards 😍
@joyce99999 Жыл бұрын
@@the_hermits_cave Which guillotine? Did you feel it weakens the card/causes it to peel more?

There's a Tarot KZbinr named Rambling Mike who has a nice video on modifying the Tarot decks by putting new backings on them, maybe that's something you could consider to try changing the backing since you don't like that trypophobia looking backing. I also have trypophobia not just with holes but also when things "stick straight out" in a similar way as the holes, it gives me the same repulsive reaction. Here's the Rambling Mike video on modifying the backings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iITPgJZnad6smtU And I agree about how things aren't age-specific, everyone has an inner-child too no matter how old they are on the outside and as long as we like something it doesn't matter what others think. :) And what you said about the High Priestess, I agree, age has nothing to do with anything, a young person can be a powerful spiritual manifestor (for example I had an intense spiritual awakening at age 13-14 years old and had intense spiritual experiences and was manifesting powerfully at that young age) and there are a lot of young people out there who are spiritually sensitive so again what people say about age, age doesn't hold much weight.

Late to the party but wanted to pop on and say hello to all of my fellow cave dwellers! xo It's a rainy day here but I am really enjoying the fresh earthy smell and the sound of the drops dancing on my roof. Have a fantastic day. ✨✨✨

what's that deck on the shelf behind you? it's above your right shoulder (so to the left of the screen) and it looks like steve strange. a very contoured dark grey male face with spanish eyebrows. very intriguing.
