GOT7 originally was created to be the junior version of JYP's senior boy group 2PM. 2PM debuted in 2008 and they were the first Kpop group to coin the term beast idols, which means they are very athletic, muscular and toned -- they had a much more masculine image then the typical boy group. So, GOT7 was supposed to take after them. That's why GOT7 debuted with the song "Girls Girls Girls." It's supposed to be slightly cocky and have the feel of "teenage boys with too much confidence." It is also one of the reason's why Mark and Jackson trained in martial arts stunting and tricks, like the flips you saw in their MVs. Also JB, GOT7's leader, is a B-boy so he is known for his b-boy dance moves. Tricking, stunting and B-boying is something 2PM was known for -- in the beginning 2PM's choreography had a lot of B-boy moves, etc. However, over the years, GOT7's image has evolved and changed and their style is uniquely them. Now that the members work together to write a lot of the group's music, you will see their style and sound change over time. In the early days their style and sound was heavily influenced by whatever image JYP wanted to create for them, so most of the first few MVs and songs will have that signature JYP style. But you will see a shift with their newer works. As you discovered, Jeongyeon and Nayeon from Twice were extras in the "Girls Girls Girls" MV. Twice is GOT7's little sister group and Jeongyeon's and Nayeon's appearance in "Girls Girls Girls" was before Twice's debut. The members of Twice were actually featured in at least 5 of JYP groups' MVs when they were still trainees, even before Twice debuted. Which included more than one of GOT's MVs.

NU'EST, BTS, GOT7, Monsta X.... this bad boy swagger vibe was very *in* for new boy groups in the early to mid-2000s. Now they're all manly and sophisticated. Of course they were always *good* bad boys. Excpet Monsta X who were in jail. Also if YG hadn't praised Bambam back in the day, he might have ended up in Stray Kids.
