I don't have the boxes, but i did manage to find old builds Dad and I did when I was a kid. 5 to maybe 12...he always had to help me. Great stories!

We all that one kit that sticks in our childhood memories, for me, the 1971 Don Garlits dragster, I was 12, still have it, remember putting on all the decals at our kitchen table, and they have reissued it in it's original boxart, so I had to pick it up, love your display in the cabinet Paul, 😎👍

Great video Paul. I think for me, the box art from the early Tom Daniel kits are some that I really treasure. I built so many of those kits as a young kid, and the box art on them was the "catcher" back in those days. Tom's art work still holds it's own even today! Thanks for sharing your memories!

Great video 👍🏿👍🏿 I have some old unopened and open kits that were released in the 80s so I hang on to them for a similar reason. I use to see them in stores thinking they were already built 😅😅😅😅. Those were the good days . Thanks for sharing Paul

Great video Paul. My kit that brings back the old day is the 55 Chevy Hard top with open doors and truck that I got for Christmas when I was about 10 years old. First kit I built back in the day took me forever to figure out how to get the doors on and to work right.

Great video, brother, and another excellent issue of Kustoms Illustrated 😁 I don't have room to keep boxes generally, I typically cut off the box top and save those as I build a kit. I do have a couple of sealed kits just for my own nostalgia like you spoke of, a pair of Mopar kits from the early 80's that were technically my dad's and my first ever Buddy Build, and my first full detail glue kit build ever. Both are Monogram 1/24 scale and molded in color, mine was the "Metal Flake Blue" '69 Superbee, his was the "Dayglow Red" Challenger kit. I searched for, found, and bought both for that very reason this year, but I bought both to build ✌️😊

It's funny you mention this, at my clubs show last weekend, a guy was selling kits, and I got the 70 heavy chevy chevelle from him. My old Sunday school teacher who was like a tia to me bought me that kit when she took us to the festivals in Santa Fe at Zozobra time. 😊😊

Hi there mate i have all my alls from the the late 70s i love the all my models and yes i still have got them all in a plastic box under the house In a shed and yes i still doing the models and i am a kustom car nut and hotrods and i buy car books i met Jean windfiled when in was Australian in 2017 iam a ford fun ilove the mercury all the models and the Ghevys and trucks i got kustom car books and a contactch of books American kustom and hotrod books and Australian kustom and hotrods books iam a new I love or video mate a new fan from down under Australia 🇦🇺 mate i love or video its great

Nice vidio Paul, I have a couple old models from the mid 70s one was a Mustang I built back then, I was prob 14, I recently made a vidio of it, but the one that’s sentimental is the monogram Horntoad that I kept from then because my uncle gave me the kit and I built it back then. It’s got a few broken parts but it’s in the cabinet, he had passed away later on of cancer at 47 so this one is special!

Great vid Paul I guess mine would have to be be the Ol Pro Nova as we had the 1/1 69 Chevy11 big block from new for 35 yrs blk/blk w/ cragars 😁🤩scooter😎ps I built a replica 30 yrs ago and gave it to Dad 4 Christmas model master blk laquer didnt even need a clear came out perfect🤣
