Glad to know I wasn't the only one looking back at these gems these past few days
@EdsterIII2 жыл бұрын
@@fabulousfrankielee Trust me sir, you weren't. I've only recently become completely aware of the Briscoes. Well in the last few years. However after seeing their classic matches I instantly became a fan. When the wwe turned the Tag-Team Division into a 2 or 3 team grouping, I was frustrated. As I've mentioned before in another comment is that I've loved Tag-Team Wrestling since the days of the High Flyers back in the AWA in the 70's. Later the Hart Foundation, the British Bulldogs, Ax & Smash of Demolition, of and Crush too? And of course the original Demolition crew, the Road Warriors, Hawk & Animal! Then later the Hardy Boys, Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, M&M(Mercury, Melina, & Morrison), and many others. WHY the wwe decided to literally break-up EVERY good and really good Tag-Team is beyond me. In a way from the wwe's arrogance I found NJPW plus TNA was getting better. AJ Styles was and IS one of my favorites except since I don't watch the wwe anymore I never get to see him wrestle anymore. But that's NOT the relevant point. Sorry. When I woke up and found other Wrestling companies that actually wrestle and have cohesive storylines and feuds that make sense, and have 3⭐⭐⭐ to 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ matches on a regular basis, I was glad, so glad I no longer watched or supported the wwe. The Briscoes were a team I didn't know about and initially thought that their gimmick was the same Good Ol` Boys routine, but they were so so far above that. Their skills were amazing! They could brawl, but damn their aerial skills was insane as well. They had so much talent, I wondered HOW/WHY haven't they been picked up by a bigger company. But once I got into RoH, I saw their loyalty, and I was even more impressed with them. I really hoped I'd see them go for the AEW Tag-Team Championships. Once Tony Khan bought RoH I was really hoping that they would get the bigger events, the Giant crowds, and a place where millions would see them in action. As much as us fans are saddened by Jay's passing, his daughters who were seriously injured as well, I can't even imagine what they are going through. 🙏🕊RIP🕊🙏Jay Briscoe🕊🕊🕊🕊 I'm praying for him and his family, especially his daughters. Their father is a LEGENDARY WRESTLER AND A WONDERFUL FATHER, HUSBAND, AND MAN.

I've been a fan of professional wrestling for decades. I started watching pro wrestling back, way back in the 70's. On Saturday mornings after the cartoons were over, I'd bust out my Mego Superheroes action figures and I'd set up a make-shift ring, and then the TV went to the AWA's All-Star Wrestling show. The Crusher, Dick the Brusier, Baron Von Rachtke, Nick Bockwinkle w/Bobby the 🧠Brain🧠Heenan as his Manager, Jerry Blackwell, Verne Gagne, the High Flyers Tag-Team(Greg Gagne & Jumpin` Jim Brunzell), Larry the🪓Axe🪓Henning, a bit later Curt Henning, and many many more great wrestlers. I'd have my Mego Superheroes battle. My Mom started watching it with me and soon it became a fun Saturday morning routine. Also since right after the AWA's show, my Mom's TV programs came on. My Mom LOVED re-runs of Star Trek & Kung-Fu. So we started a Saturday morning "ritual". 🌄📺😡🤼🤼♂️😤🤬 and it was always fun. Then the wwf went "global". wwf Superstars on Saturday Nights, or better still Saturday Night's Main Event! I later found the NWA/WCW etc. When I saw the 60 minute Iron-Man match between the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair & 🐉🐉Rickey🐲🀄the🀄🐲Dragon🐉🐉Steamboat🐉🐲 I was hooked again! The wwe became the wwe, bought out WCW & ECW, then RUINED WRESTLING! Then RoH came along! TNA as well. But the incredibly talented daredevils RoH had, their roster was amazing, impressive, and flat out dominant wrestlers. They brought back PRO WRESTLING! Then AEW arrived, and THANKFULLY, I'M SO THANKFUL that AEW & Tony Khan was the one who bought RoH! They combined EVERYTHING professional wrestling fans loved! The intensity, the feuds, the sometimes brutal matches, and the greatest line-up of wrestlers seen! Pro Wrestling fans FINALLY HAVE A GREAT show again!

When it’s done right, Tag Team wrestling is the best type of wrestling there is. The fed has never put the correct amount of shine on their tag team divisions, even ECW & WCW did a better job with their tag teams. I love that AEW has put such a big focus on tag teams and soon to be trio teams.

The Briscoe Brothers took the Tag-Team Division to a whole new level! They were absolutely amazing a perfect Tag-Team. Not only were they Brothers but also best friends as well. Seeing them battle in RoH was always a great fight! Mark and Jay always had each other's backs, and always told it like it was. Jay will be missed by anyone and everyone who loved pro wrestling. His passing took away not just a great wrestler, but more importantly a WONDERFUL FATHER, HUSBAND, BROTHER, AND FRIEND. He ADORED his children and his wife. His family was his number one priority and his work ethic was unmatched. I am so sorry and I am praying for his daughters to have a full recovery. Jay's wife and his brother Mark Briscoe are also in all or our prayers.🙏❤🙏 We Love you guys with all of our hearts, and we thank you for all of the incredible time, work, determination, dedication, and love to put into your matches and for the love you have for us your fans!
