Throwing / Making a Split Rimmed Beaded Pottery Bowl on the Wheel. This was an idea I had and it seemed to work out well and is easy to do and the effect is pleasing.
It helps if the bowl is perfectly centered ( unlike mine) but you can still get away with it as you can see.
The beading was just done by pressing onto the clay with an old paint brush handle. An easy technique for beginners.
Please have a look at my other videos and demonstrations and subscribe, Thanks.

Had to nail the camera to the wall to get the angle. Need to make a better solution me thinks. Thanks.

Hahaha :) Maybe a tiny shelf made out of clay or wood, positioned on two long nails / shelf holders, would make a better solution?

So pretty. I loved the scalloped edged bowl there also. You make it with simple tools but it ends up being a showcase bowl.

I've learned from a lot of your videos, you do them all very well; so first of all thank you very much. I do like your idea on the split rim and I will try it as I have other of your ideas. I expect the glaze will fill in the space between the split in the rims if I make the glaze wet enough. Should be a very nice effect. Thanks again.

Maybe a thin glaze and it won't fill the gap. It's all trial and error. Not fired or glazed these yet. Thanks.
