Another MISLABELED YoutTube video! One does not "throw" the "shot put". That 16 lb (7.26kg) ball is a SHOT, not a "shot put". PUTTING is the ACTION by which one imparts velocity to the shot. One PUTS THE SHOT, hence the name of the event the SHOT PUT.
