Thru the Gibby....August 2012, A drive through Gibshill, Greenock, Scotland. the new development which is taking place

I used to live at 14 Bell Street. When it was the tenements. On the other side of the hill going down to Bogston Station. I left the gibby in 76, just as they were completing the sports centre. I attended St Mungos Primary and this video is pure delight. Thanks from Birkenhead

Hi Billy I lived at 14 Lansbury street analso 12 poplar street left in 1967 my sister still lives up the port.Thanks for the video wonderful so many memories made me cry. this is the first time I have seen it looking like that.God Bless you .

Good video. I used to live in Whitelees Road when I was a kid, went south of the border in 1970 and been there ever since. Don't recognise any of it now. Used to be all tenements. It was great then.

Used to live in 8 poplar Street Ann Campbell now live in USA still miss my home in Scotland wish we could go back in time never forget it

I live in irwin st where you lived my number was 46 30 from 2011 (when I was born) to 2020 a big change cuz I moved due to I was getting new people to live in it my neighbours are kind and great video Billy sinclair from greenock thats all zak:)

The Smillie Street shops consisted of the Cooperative, Duncan’s newspaper shop, Langtree,s Sheridan the butchers and Zanoni,s fish and chip shop. Cantata,s was at the Laburnum Street sops. I lived at 4 Irwin Street then 6 Keir Hardie Street. I remember you very well and I hope you’re well.

To the right of the shops was a path that took you to the playing fields were we had run ins with the Strone and the Qb..

The Harleys lived there. My granny Susan harley..Graham. George and Stuart. I'm not sure ..maybe Irvin st.😀

I came south in 1960 but still go back 2/3 times a year, the Gibby has changed so much, I came from Irwin St, near the Smillie St shops ( when they were shops ), do you belong to the Gibby site, there are lots of great photo's on there

And that lane continued right down from top to bottom to shank land road there were 3 closes do you know what that steet was called? It's my mum that's where she grow up and really can't remember the name and I'm doing all I can for her haha it would mean a lot
