Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog A-10C - A flight stick for the professionals.

I own the Warthog HOTAS. At the time of purchase it was a choice between that and the Logitek X52 Pro. I chose the Warthog and I have to say that I have never regretted it. Yes, it is expensive but it is rugged and very precise. The fact that I fly the A-10 Warthog most of the time in DCS World is an added bonus. I heartily recommend it.

I’ve got a Logitech stick but this looks awesome. I wish I could justify the upgrade but I don’t spend enough time in flight sims for the one I have! Need to find more hours in the day. Thanks Scan!

Well considering the gimbal in the stick base is very dated, it's worth getting the grips and throttle but getting a virpil stick base, but you will probably upgrade the slew on the throttle, the TM Warthog isn't that high end, I love mine after modifying mine to take a heavier spring (still to light for my S extension) but if thrustmaster just updated the designs it would be on par with the high end gear, I am not saying it isn't but its known as the entry gear for high end gear.

Probably already know this as you posted 2 years ago lol but DCS, with F18 or F14 modules and Supercarrier module and ideally Gulf and Syria map modules.

Just bought my Warthog HOTAS A10C .... out of the box would not center, sounds like its got something broken/loose inside.... dissapointed for $799

@@ScanComputers just to say from someone who has poked around the internals of their Warthog, they are very very dated and I wouldn't say it leaps a head of everything you sell, considering the T16000m uses the same tech for it's stick, the only difference is the materials used and the gimbals used, having a slab of steel on the bottom of both parts is nice when not mounting them but I now just want higher quality internals, I would rather pay for really nice internals that externals made from steel and for metals

@@morarucosmin6776 well its more of an inverted version from what I can tell (I don't own the T16000m, I know what tech it uses but I think the main difference is it's gimbal is not inverted and made out of cheaper polymers) but I do think the warthog can take heavier springs than the T16000m, if your looking for a stick base, go with one of virpil's offers, they actually use metal cams, and are capable of heavy springs (which aren't 3rd party) and use the same grip mounting system and can allow for analogue controls on the grips and is compatible, it's abit of a wait as they operate with a backlog system but everything I have from them is top notch (I have their ace combat pedals and desk mounts, the mounts how dented my desk, that's how sturdy they are)

Guessing you got it from scorptec, mine has a stick ion issue from scorptec. I might fix it but it seems like a lot of these sticks have the stick ion issue

Don't waste the money on this. TM has had over a decade to inovate & upgrade this hotas, they have done basically nothing, recently they finally upgraded the slew stick that has been getting replaced with 3rd party mod kits for years now. Also the stick & throttle might feel really sturdy cause they're metal but the inside bits you want to be metal are plastic, also real jets don't necessarily use metal sticks, a lot are likely polymer. Also the stick uses an extremely outdated gimbal design where basically all other top end sticks use cams & springs & also include dampening too. Seriously I'd look at Winwing, Virpil or VKB, VKB's TECS should be out soon, Virpils CM3(?) throttle is a really good option & Winwing's throttles have grips for the F-16 & F-18 with the F-15E grip coming out too, that grip should cover the A-10 also, plus the sticks from each of those companies are awesome too, way better than the TH warthog, the logo on the Winwing Orion throttle says it all lol, it's Orion the Hunter holding up a slayed Hog XD

Don't buy this piece of crap. Buy VIRPIL instead. The virpil base for the joystick have metal instead of the plastic innards. The plastic ball inside the stick base that is elemental in the function of it is very fragile. The VIRPIL base will accommodate the Warthog Stick itself so you won't have to buy that again. As for the Throttle, it's decent, but it's no where near VIRPIL standards neither... I am very disappointed in the 'warthog' which should have been made exclusively with metal components, inside and out.
