I got asked why I listen to so much Knxwledge by my wife. I told her its because his music allows you to relive musical moments in a way that is so unimaginably new but excitedly familiar. Meaning that Knxwledge is a genius and there's definitely an underlying message in what he selects to sample. It's more than just about beats.

This is the one that I come back to. When Durand Bernarr was singing on that stage to an empty auditorium, it reminds me of the times I was in so much pain and wanted to sing and scream. I never did sing when I was younger. I was afraid to look at my life and afraid to just live and make sounds for the fuck of it. But here, on that stage, he wasn't worried about anybody hearing him or NOT hearing him. I have slowly begun to live a more genuine life, and this video helps me remember that these solitary moments still matter. Thank you for singing, if you're reading this, don't ever be afraid of facing your hardships. You aren't the first or last person to feel alone, and you can get through it. Please, please keep pushing.
