Therefore we need to get people from oversees to fill all the vacancies. They man the warehouses, coffee shops, do many of the courier deliveries, work on the farms and most importantly, work in the NHS as nurses, doctors, surgeons and dentists. If we got rid of them, we’d be knackered. It’s not a popular point to make, but it’s the actual reality of the situation, as not enough children are born on this island. It’s even worse in Germany and Italy.
