Thumbnail technique for testing hook sharpness

In this video I go over the thumbnail technique to check how sharp your hooks are. If the hook doesn’t stick, it’s not as sharp as it could be and may cost you a fish. This technique works with all hooks and is really easy and efficient to use. Just because a hook is new doesn’t mean it’s sharp and ready for action.
All you need is your thumb and a hook file from bass pro shops to get the job done.
Sharp hooks will catch more fish and could mean the difference in donating or getting paid.
