Even when he was with the rockets he was a bucket extremely disrespected!!!

Melo started off averaging almost 24 a game during the first 8 games of the season, PG & Russ were playing so bad Billy Donovan switched around the entire offense to please them & left Melo as a spot up shooter the rest of the season. The flashes were there but his role became too inconsistent night to night and his play went up & down too, Then when Andre Roberson blew out his knee the season fell apart
@scottpaddlety8741Ай бұрын
Man, I had so much faith in that squad, sucks how the season turned out after Andre went down 😮💨🤷♂️⛈️💙 crazy how much his defense impacted us. Melo was underrated here, too

yall think history would be different if he played for houston in 17-18 and okc in 18-19?
@andresleon797Ай бұрын
lol ive actually thought about this. I think houston would've won a ring that year but only if melo came off the bench
@zayharris-sk9dpАй бұрын
He would’ve been black balled a lot earlier then if he went there first , Mike d’antoni coached Melo in New York & they bumped heads , they chose Melo side over Mike so he left New York , so Melo going to Houston & getting blamed for all there struggles was Mikes revenge on Melo for the New York situation
@1700-q3gАй бұрын
@@andresleon797 i think so too for sure
@1700-q3gАй бұрын
@@zayharris-sk9dp I could see that too, but idk looking at how both teams lost in the playoffs both years i think he could have helped out a lot, especially with houston since they missed all those 3s
@zayharris-sk9dpАй бұрын
@@1700-q3g yeah he could’ve helped them out , he would’ve fitted better on Houston because they had a lot of 3point shooters already but then again we’ll never know because when he did get to Houston they only wanted him to be a spot up 3point shooter & nothing more than that
@lpy1102Ай бұрын
People thought Melo had a poor season in OKC but actually he had the career high 3PT FG Made in a single season. Dude performance fell should attribute to Roberson's season ending injury which caused him having much defensive pressure to make his offense turning down

Thank you. Bra was averagin 20 at all star break then they had some problems late in the season them they started all narratives

He was averaging 17 at all star break and averaged 16 for the season, he just wasn't as good as they needed him to be that season
@JayTh5Ай бұрын
@@anthonycook7384 yea 17 and yea but act like melo was the culprit of that forever wild to me. Very rarely do teams with that star power win the first year unless you the warriors or Celtics…it take time for that stuff to figure out how it’s gone work
@yoitsSmitty2004Ай бұрын
@@JayTh5frfr playoffs proved that shit wasn’t really going well for them yea they won games 1 and 5 fuck the majority of the series Pg was getting killed by Ingles, Russ getting out matched by Ricky Rubio and On top of that a rookie Donovan Mitchell bodying the OKC thunder as a whole
