I just want to say that I'm glad you're still going into these new sets mostly blind. One of the most fun parts of a new set is watching you figure out the cards and all the new mechanics as you go, and still do well against other content creators and other players who have familiarized themselves with the entire set beforehand. (Even if comes at the cost of you having to quickly read all the walls of text in cards these days hahah)

the salvo worked because the copy saw the real one as a "other spell cast this turn", in addition to the copy is 2 + 2 for 4

​@@xromasikthat's correct, the copy isn't cast. However there were two spells cast that turn (the Salvo & Return the Favor) which the copy sees. The original gets to 3 because Return the Favor was on the stack when it was cast

i was simulating a draft earlier and i managed to combine loot with the simic uncommon that discounts all of your plot and exile spells. i was skeptical of the 1/2 statline at first but 1 mana plot into 2 mana oko thief of crowns is just so damn good

22:23 Easy to miss with the cards being new, but unlike most similar tricks Quick Draw actually adds a point of toughness. Could have cast it to save the Silver Deputy and set up to impulse draw 2 cards off Loot next turn. Edit: Looks like Numot figured it out later in the game

Sterling Hounds might be good.. I loved the sanitation automatons... Some synergy with Loot - gives a second type and of course good for surveiling to actually draw the darned plushie and/or colored lands for it.

I like the new set alot. Only grievings i have in this draft ... or only two ... Grindstone and Mana Flooding or Screwing. Out of 3 Drafts i done. I had two early loses just cause i pulled 8~12 out of 16 Mana ... nearly in a row or just 2 Mana and then 10 spell cards.. Somehow i have terrible luck or the algorhytmic math power hates me. When i wasn't screwed that way i mostly did green/red, which is really good to unscrew ya or sac lands for extra card draw. Grindstone ... is broken. Single mana decks will instant die to it. As nearly no one has artifact removal. Died once to it. Only reason it took 3 turns for the enemy ... i had some colorless cards..

The reach symbol wasn't the problem. It was the stupid flying animation making players think it could only be blocked by creatures that had the animation. Never hidden deathtouch or first strike. But at least it's in your face now so we get 2 dumb animations you have no control over.
