Just a historical fact, the thunder run was conducted by the army's 3rd infantry div not the marines.

@@30harbakshsingh45it's a mix between cost savings (takes a lot of fuel and aircraft/boats to move heavy equipment like tanks from one side of the planet to another). Also the marines are envisioning a conflict that involves mobile units to be dropped or landed onto islands. Heavy equipment can be dropped including towed guns and trucks but tanks take up too much time and airdropping into island war zones can be problematic (especially if there is a shooting war with China)

when I played this on my Xbox 360 decade ago... it was unreal upgrade after bad company 2. the stricking graphics plus traditional destruction level of battlefield... okay.. but than second shock was when multiplayer launched... man that was the phenomenal!

I love how the tanker gets out of his tank and starts fighting as infantry! Something no tanker would do, primarily because they are not trained as infantry! For some strange reason they are trained as tankers, not infantry. Can't for the life of me figure out why!
