LOL, that was fun!!! I have a bad headache and I was still grinning from ear to ear watching you having fun with it!! I had to come over and check it out when it popped up. Seems to be running well too, not bad for something that has not been started for at least 5 or 6 years! I am glad you are having fun with it and hearing that laugh was all worth it! You gotta plug that exhaust pipe and then pull the starter to get it to prime the fuel! And you want the radio system on any time you are cranking it. Without the ignitor on it it should not fire but you want the radio on if it were to fire in case you need to mash the breaks. It is kind of like a diesel where the coil in the plug glows red hot and the compression ignites the fuel mixture. without the glowing plug it should not ignite on a cold engine. A hot engine it is technically possible but still would probably need to ignitor to light up.

Yeehaw! I haven't run a nitro in a long time, still great to hear that nitro motor scream! Yes, smoke coming out of the pipe is a good sign, watch out for the pull handle blisters between the fingers!

I haven't tried RC with a machine like this. how to turn on for the first time it takes a long time. its power must be much greater than the RC dynamo. seems more fun. RC control very good. can make a small circle like a donut. thanks for sharing.

That's Awesome Brother Brent 💯 welcome to the world of Nitro Fueled RC, I've read some other comments and they're correct about priming and it's running a little rich.. to much smoke, you want a fine mist of smoke "unburnt fuel oil" so make sure you always have that little screwdriver in the pocket 😁👉 you will be adjusting to the air temp and humidity, but when it's right and full song it'll really make you Smile 😁 ✌🤠👍 Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother 💯🏁🏁🏁🏁

Sounds rich, use a nitro temp gauge to tune it. Glow plugs don't last long, fyi, keep extras around. You'll want a kill switch, so it can't run away. Plug the exhaust with your finger, it'll prime faster. You can test flow plugs outside the engine, just plug one onto the igniter and observe it, do that with a new one so you can familiarize yourself with how a proper one looks light up.

I remember the thunder tiger my first nitro buggy i was 8yrs old first time we started it it took off got ran over by a car lost a wheel then came back towards the house and got stuck in the fence 😂 the radio didn't connect and it was on full throttle. But once i got the hang of it and my TMAXX neighbors didn't like me full sending threw their yards. Ah good times

#1 traxxas fuel not good get something else next time VP racing is good. when you want fuel to get up to the carb put your finger over the exhaust pipe outlet pull starter a few times and this acts like you blowing in that small hose. I knew you would have fun with it...maybe more nitros in the future? O also get a glow plug igniter that has a beeper or a meter or LED on it that shows if the glow plug is good because without that you can be trying to start it for a long time going crazy and the glow plug could be bad. I have to get mine out I got some new sidewinder fuel to try out too! probably can lean the top end out maybe just a hair more... also look at your carb make sure when it's floored the carb is opening fully. they sure are cool thanks for the shout out!

Hi there Brent a great sounding nitro buggy indeed. I think the other way to prime the system, would be to put your thumb or finger over the exhaust, while your pulling the starter. (This creates a vacuum and helps to draw the fuel through) great video though. Take care and best wishes 😊😉😁
@backyardbasher Жыл бұрын
It doesn't create a vacuum, by blocking the exhaust outlet there is no where for the air to exit that the engine sucks in and compresses as it turns over so the air is forced through the fuel pipe which goes from the exhaust to the tank, the air pressurises the tank forcing fuel in to the carburettor. It does the same as he did when he took the fuel pipe off the exhaust and blew in to it.

That must of been set up well to run as well as that. Normally you get then to start, run in and all you get is stalling. Getting the one I had started I even broke the pull start.

Awesome brother definitely don’t use that fuel I have always used O’Neal brothers fuel and it doesn’t gum up anything and to help prime the carb place you finger over the exhaust hole that will do the trick
