@@dr00andrew If they would all race this way, the level of talent would increase, because this type of racing requires bike control, setting up passes requires racecraft, and is beautiful to watch. Neither of those things can develop in a rider if their method of passing is ‘crash rider in front’. MXGP the racing is like this the whole way down the field. That tightening right hander where Eli made a move and Ken cut back under was so tense every lap. Ken was covering insides where he knew Eli was fast, was slightly checking up in corners so Eli couldn’t undercut. Defensive masterclass by Ken, beautiful clean pressure riding by Eli. A lesser rider in Ken’s position would have made a mistake under that pressure, a lesser rider in Eli’s position would have just knocked him over.

I was there in person and roczen is my favorite rider. In the last 450 race on the second to last or last lap when sexton went down the whole crowd was cheering and it was great. BTW they had the best ribs I’ve ever had #lucasoilpromotorcross

Roczen would have still won the race overall, not Tomac. A tie is broken for the overall by the second moto. Roczen went 2-1 while Tomac would have went 1-2 under your scenario Tomac would end up second.
