I'd like to see Urshifu Single strike in this gen. With Great Tusk, it only does like 30 with choice band on a non defensive tusk. It gets more coverage than Gambit, but Gambit will always be the better sucker punch. On the other hand, Urshifu Rapid Strike got banned before grassy glide Rillaboom AND Ogerpon Water. Which make it click u-turn. Unless you the one guy running poison jab or ice punch. Also both attacks make contact. You can wear punching glove, but it nullifies unseen fist. Both have counters now that are popular. Single Strike should get a chance now though because it actually has a counter now lol.

Tera will probably make some mons that were ok next gen be overpowered after dlc. While Kartana is one of my fav pokemon in existence. I do want to know what will stop him from sweeping with tera. Like you could use a fire tera and avoid burn from moltres and basically run him down. Don't know if he loses knock off but I see a world where Leaf blade sacred sword terablast and either steel or knock off could happen on scarftana. Sword dance might be overpowered too idk what to think anymore as tera makes it so hard

It is basically urshifu without weaknesses. Great bulk, 150 special attack is great for even ubers, and 100 speed is too fast for a mon with that solid bulk and special attack. You also have great stabs and coverage. I would say 5.

deoxys-defence is terrible - it's in in nat dex rubl, with no niche in uu, let alone ou. since mew got spikes in gen 8, deo-d has no real advantages over it; mew has the pretty much identical bulk in the side you invest in, but is faster, way more offensively threatening, and has a much better movepool, notably getting will-o-wisp, meaning it's better than deo-d at pretty much everything. deo-d's only advantages are pressure, which is good but not worth using deo-d for, and that it has about 25% more bulk in the side you don't invest in, which sounds good, except you would always rather have will-o-wisp on defensive sets. the only set you could justify using deo-d on is a cosmic power + pressure pp stalling set, but this isn't a very good strategy in gen 9 because of the recovery nerf. tl;dr deoxys-defence is completely outclassed by mew, an rubl mon that's currently d-rank in ou, so there's not even a slight chance of it being broken

regular Kyurem won't be better at it, that's actually a trash take. It has no coverage, Roost got nerfed and it may not even have it this gen, SubDD will be nowhere near as good as in gen 8. Solgaleo should be IDK I think its broken, its bulky like Ting Lu but unlike Ting Lu Solgaleo has a great movepool to hit everything and its strong. Weakness policy flame charge is a set and unlike Ting Lu it has recovery. Ting Lu gets chipped down with no way to really recover whereas leo can just click morning sun and all your chipping means nothing. Shield dog is fine. it has no recovery and is worse than base form dog Bax and volc go above darkrai. Darkrai is way too weak, frail and slow. Kyrurem should be 2. Specs + dual stab + EP hits everything lefties set is also annoying because its fat as fuck can even run boots as it has roost and only needs drago/freeze dry Physical set can work but special is just better

So I first got into showdown in gen 4, 5, and was really invested in 6 (ORAS), and I just feel like OU isn't what it used to be. Maxxing, and tera are stupid. The only gimmick that fit in was mega evolution, z moves were stupid too. The power level is gross rn. I can't believe how much shit we've banned and still don't have a good game.
