I don't remember this movie from back when it ran on TV. How could I have missed it? Should have been made into a series. Produced by Steven Cannell, who most famously produced The Rockford Files. 46:53 Wow. 188th St in Miami. I spent some time putting big engines in hot boats there about 20 years ago. I'm really liking this movie now.

Best 1.5 hours spent watching KZbin in months. The Stephen J Canal shows were what I grew up on. Plus im a Miami Vice so bonus. So cheesy, so 80's....soooo good! Missed this when it came out, thanks XL!!!!

Arnov knew he was selling faster boats to the smugglers .... And they hung out at his shop regularly. Well except when vice president Bush would come by they would have to split you know keeping appearances up and all . But yes this movie is a loose interpretation of Roberts and Mundays organization almost to the letter. This came out around 2 to 3 years after they were all busted so timing is write

Didn't take long for me to hit up paypal and received DVD 2 weeks later. Its basically the same VHS recorded quality. Randomly searched for it on KZbin tonight and found your upload. I watched it when it first aired and loved it. Was looking forward to the show and then...nothing. I remember more boats and less quacking though. Still, this movie was my go-to example of lost 80’s TV action movies until now, so thanks for putting it up.

anonymous Art Department. It was a scarab with a bunch of goofy fiberglass work done. Spent a lot of time on Coast Guard Boats and Blue Thunder. Dressed all the police stations,....fun film to work on,

The boat parts are cool, but the acting, dialog and general behavior of the law enforcement is cringey at best. Especially the woman cop. "Freeze dirt bag!". "Hold it buster!" Also....they are flying flags on a fiberglass VHF antenna at over 100 knots?

Identical scenario to the movie I was searching for but different boats and actors. In that one the builder of the drug boat sold it and used a faster one to catch it. In the original movie the drug boat came apart at sea due to the vibrations. And the surprise ending was not in the original which I believe was older.

he admits it in the movie also ...did you miss that part? he builds boats for anyone who can pay for it....lol he had to or else ....damn if he do damn if he dont....why do you think he sold the company to the main dude ....said " here build your own and you cut out the middle man" but dude was greedy and wanted the contracts from the dea to build boats and the cash....DEA didnt want a drug dealer to build the boats end of story ....now crybaby wants his money back and to end the deal with arronow , being the wise buisness man he was Arronow said no you screwed the pooch now you deal with it....900,000 dollars is alot of money and im sure it was what got him gunned down ....or at least part of it......we may never know but he did build boats for anyone with the cash and they were fast and strong and started a cultural following that now cost millions not hundreds of thousands.....can u say out of touch!
