Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt was THE very first cadence released on the original www.cassidybyars.com website. It is extremely popular in the southern United States and is played by hundreds, if not thousands of students every year. Thunderbolt is a simple and entertaining cadence that will provide a ton of fun for everyone. For starting drumlines, this cadence is what we call a "wise choice".

Omg. I have a question. I play tenor. And what dose the ‘S’ mean that is over the notes. Bc I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing there. Actually wait. I just noticed the music on the screen doesn’t have an S. But mine dose. Omg!!! What dose it mean then. I think my notes that have an ‘S’ over it are the ones that have the little dot above your note. What am I supposed to do.

hi! i’m a section leader and we use this for our line! the S actually stands for skank and it means to mute the drum right after you hit it to get a sort of twangy sound. i’m not sure if skank is the actual term or if that’s just slang but maybe see if you can find a video of someone playing one?
