Just saying) And Val- Wanted to Send Her other (Old Assassins...The ones we seen before) to a Trap (To Take them out). To replace them with easier to control assets? The ''Thunderbolt's'' And the Ones we think are the ''Thunderbolt'' team are Just Brought together by accident when the Trap did not work? I mean in the One scene at the Party a young Lady next to Val looked a lot like the Character design of ''Song Bird'' ....Its a wild theory. I know. Hector is very good at what he does. My comic reading focus was on Daredevil, so sometimes I get the smattering of Avengers comics I"ve read muddled up, and Hector's explanations are illuminating. But to echo Hectorminator, if you have the time and a few extra bucks, a subscription to Marvel Unlimited is worth the couple of dollars for the subscription. But it's easy to ger overwhelmed, so my recommendation is to do what I did and focus on one character or group.

I think the asterisk is just what Adam pointed out, that the "Thunderbolts" name is just a front for their real name: Dark Avengers...or the Sentry's logo is actually the asterisk as stylized in the name? (and that's why they said we wouldn't find out what it is until we watch the movie)🤔

I really love watching you guys and hear your take on the comic book movies. So much positivity and just pure enjoyment, even if you’re not particularly a fan of a character or movie. Another note, I really like Hector’s knowledge of these characters. I would hope that the Thunderbolts is going in the angle that he theorized because that sounds like it really great movie plot but my fear is that the MCU will go in another direction.

Bucky is not a leader tho he’s more the OG mentor like we saw in FATWS so I can see him taking Ylana and Johnny Walker under his wing and we will see Ylana emerge as the leader as we already see in the trailer her taking command of the group when they meet up explaining to them they been set up. Plus Lawrence Pugh has the most on screen star power.

@@adreday10 I was thinking a cool scene would be Sam with his group meeting up with the Thunderbolts and asking how does he know he can trust them, and that’s when you see Bucky come out the back of somewhere putting on arm back on saying, “Don’t worry Sam I already vetted them thoroughly.” At which point Bucky and Sam grin at each other and exchange man hugs, you know the type, chest bump with a pat on the shoulder blade. Classic scene right there.

Really enjoyed the vibe of this trailer. Wasn't too invested in this story. Thought they would just do Suicide Squad but marvels, leaning too much on the second one of those working out as well as Deadpool's style of being an anti-hero. But no, while there is your quips and humour of the characters interacting, the base tone is quite serious. These broken people who thought they were going to be heroes and ended up as villains.

I think the movie will remain Thunderbolts but it will end with the team unintentionally giving Val/President Ross the idea to create a new Dark Avengers with villains that they can control. Then I’d love for Doom to come in as Iron Patriot, pretending to be Stark, and controlling the Dark Avengers as a substitute for Norman Osborn for Doomsday (but this bit seems unlikely)

One of my biggest disappointments from the original Avengers was that we never got more of the epic Bucky/Natasha love story from comics than Natasha’s “you could at least recognize me” in Civil War. Man, I read the heck out of those two just blasting around the country blowing stuff up together and flirting during battles and doing whatever it took to save each other lol. Screw Steve/Sharon-Bucky/Nat was Marvel doing a love story right imo. And it was really cool-cold war spy vibes while they investigated the shared background between the Winter Soldier and the Black Widows. I’d really hoped for something in the Black Widow Film to hint that Bucky had been around in her backstory, but nada. I’d say Bucky/Yelena might be one direction for those same vibes, but I feel like it’s a little creepy to just replace a woman with her sister when they’ve already hinted the original romance was canon, even if they just left it hanging there like a plot hole. They tried it with Peggy and Sharon and it didn’t work at all. granted, the Bucky/Nat stuff went over the heads of anyone who doesn’t read the comics, whereas Steve/Peggy got a whole movie, but it’s a little icky. Still, we’ll finally have Bucky and a Black Widow in a scene at the same time when he’s actually himself and not the WS. I’m curious and excited about the potential outcome. It doesn’t have to be a romance, necessarily-just something.

I wonder if the timing will work out between the movies and Daredevil in such a way that it would allow Wilson Bethel's Bullseye to join the Dark Avengers. If memory serves, he was used as the group's Hawkeye analog. Echo would also make an interesting addition, but that Bullseye portrayal was awesome. DD S3 actually made Bullseye interesting; sympathetic, even. And, of course, where's Frank? Not that he'd join a team like that, but a little Punisher seasoning can really help a meal cook.

A few things to say about this movie now that this trailer is out: - Hoping this movie’s Rated R (as rumored since last December from Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus), even in the wake of the $1.3B success of Deadpool & Wolverine, or hard PG-13 to do characters like Ghost or Sentry (ESPECIALLY when he becomes The Void) justice, especially with Blade’s release date now unknown and I’d rather not wait years for the next MCU film from Disney that’s Rated R. - This is the same 3.5-minute trailer from Comic-Con (NOT D23 because it wasn’t shown there), but with some differences, mainly we don’t see Alexei belt out “ENOUGH TALK,” we don’t see Alexei’s speech in the car at the end where he cheers up the team, and we don’t see Yelena jumping off the Merdeka 118 tower, which was filmed in Malaysia and is practical, per Florence Pugh. - Also it looks like Val is indeed the owner of Avengers Tower, which means we’ll finally get the “who owned Avengers Tower” question answered. - And out of all the characters on the team, I’m curious to see how Ghost fits in on the team, given the team is all characters from Black Widow or Captain America fare, except Ghost because she’s a villain from Ant-Man and the Wasp, an Ant-Man movie villain, and that’s what fascinates me the most about her inclusion in the movie. - Also, I wonder if the Thunderbolts* title has an asterisk there because the team will become The Secret Avengers at the end of the movie, whereas Sam Wilson will form the New Avengers at the end of Captain America: Brave New World (since he won’t wanna follow Ross’s idea to have a government-sponsored team of Avengers) and we’ll see them again (alongside the Fantastic 4 and hopefully Deadpool) in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Million Exploding Sun Hot Take: Bob takes the place of Molacular Man as Doom´s "power source" for Battleworld in Secret Wars. What I do like from this trailer, aside from it being properly lighted of course, is the fact that this trailer makes it look like theyre paying sufficient respect to these characters and the humour feels organic to them instead of just thrown in there for trailers. Im kind of sad that this is the teaser though. Would be perfect for a final trailer imo. I really dont want to learn more about this movie.
