This video and song had me in tears. I have limited use of the left side of my body, limbs are pretty much useless. You can become so bitter, you struggle and ask yourself why. You can become so poisonous and toxic to yourself and those around you. The samurai shows me its possible to heal, for that I am grateful. Grateful for this wonderful work of art.

"Even if one's head were to be suddenly cut off, he should be able to do one more action with certainty. With martial valor, if one becomes like a revengeful ghost and shows great determination, though his head is cut off, he should not die" thus is the way of the samurai.

I lost my mother January of this year. She was elderly, lead a very good life. I was able to take care of her the last few years of her life and was with her to the very end. I'm at peace. I know your situation is very different. But I am wishing peace for you. I am hoping that the rain that you feel in your heart will leave behind a beautiful rainbow of memories soon.

@@marsournexthome I have come a long way in the last few weeks. I finally accepted the reality that she will not be here in the physical world anymore and that it is a blessing that she suffers no more. I still cry daily, but I have also been able to laugh and I am rebuilding my life without her. I will always carry my love for her and my memories of her, for they bring me comfort and are indelible. I prayed to God that he would lift my heart and he did, so I owe this to him, her presence which I feel often and music, which has been a saving grace throughout my life Thank you for your kinds words.

[Chorus: Thundercat] Let me show you, show you the way On the edge of dark there's the brightest light A burning light on the edge of dark Where no-one can tell they’re worlds apart We'll live with dark, just take the ride [Break: Thundercat] It's your boy, Thundercat [Verse 1: Thundercat] Heavy-hearted, but my burden's light I just wanna live, and learn how to fly When it's all over, breathe into the light Sink or swim, I'm not scared to die [Break: Thundercat] Tell 'em how you feel, Kenny Kenny Loggins [Verse 2: Kenny Loggins] Your heart is struggling, baby Trying to believe That there might be something you just couldn't see But what if I told you babe It’s all so easy [Chorus: Thundercat] Let me show you, show you the way On the edge of dark there's the brightest light A burning light, on the edge of dark Where no-one can tell they’re worlds apart We'll live with dark, just take the ride [Break: Thundercat] Ladies and gentlemen: Michael McDonald [Verse 3: Michael McDonald] Wake up and dream, tear down the wall Of all you believe that might not be true Long as love lies waiting there Just hold your face into the light Though right now you might not know why Long as love lies waiting They ain’t know our way, baby [Chorus: Thundercat] Let me show you, show you the way On the edge of dark there's the brightest light A burning one, on the edge of dark Where no-one can tell they’re worlds apart We'll live with dark, just take the ride [Outro: Thundercat] Hey, how's it going? Imagine being at the top of the game with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers in the 1970's, and then staying on top of it, and blending with the times long enough to make fresh music with Thundercat. So many rock stars of that era got old and bitter, and spend their time suing bandmates over royalties, but this guy just keeps on moving making awesome music. I was so lucky to see him live with Steely Dan circa 2006.

The moment the staff hugged him, I was just about to start crying. I love stories like these that start off incredibly dark and hopeless, but build up into telling the viewer that yes, yes you can get better. Hits a lot harder when you see that journey than to just be told "you'll be fine!"

3:30 - You can hear the extra life / continue chime from the Genesis Sonic The Hedgehog games. It's the sound you hear when you earn a continue on the game to keep playing after you've lost your lives, and both fits in metaphorically with the song and video's themes about "continuing" and not giving up during hard times. Pretty crafty, genius-level shit right there. Right from the Genesis / Mega Drive: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5fWqqybhrRrmas

A few months ago, when I was at home starting the day, I passed out. It was a horrible situation, I hit my face and ended up in a hospital. It was a stress spike. I spent the night there and in a conversation during a checkup, a doctor asked me what music I liked to listen to. They had let me keep my cell phone. I told him that I really liked Thundercat. He didn't know him. (he did know the TV series). I put this song and we listened to it. Today I am very well, fully recovered, and that episode is just a memory. This song reminds me to value what is really important in life. And that it is important to take care of yourself and give yourself the necessary time whenever you can. Greetings from Argentina friends.

There's so much to unpack with this song, and Thundercat artistic genuis as a whole. This is a collab no one knew they wanted or even expected, but everyone NEEDED. He's so unbelievably moving, and special. Not to mention look at this comment section. It's also very moving. Like literally so many of us were brought to tears. Or used this song as a way to get through very painful situations. This song is the embodiment of the feeling of going through the worst scenarios in life and coming out the other side with your sanity. A sense of peace, love & gratitude. Man, protect Thundercat at all cost.

Wow, I came to rewatch this video and listen to the song for some much needed positive boosting and saw my comment here. I’m still doing dialysis and starting the strenuous requirements so I can hopefully be placed on the kidney transplant list. A few obstacles have popped up but I’m still fighting in every way. I can’t give up even when it feels like I don’t have any fight left. If you’re wondering “who the hell is she talking to?” It’s myself. Cause I’m sure I’ll be back to listen to this wonderful song again.

It’s the way you come out of your personalised hell and the look you give to the loved one in front of you. In that moment something comedic clicks. The demons become the robbers that you can see in the cctv. You know at that moment that you’re in a situation. It’s important to look up, it’s valuable to realise that you’re a character in this, it’s vital to know that it’s your fight and then you have to show yourself the way. Who knows maybe the next time you look up you were still in that same hell, but at least you have an experience now.
