This video and song had me in tears. I have limited use of the left side of my body, limbs are pretty much useless. You can become so bitter, you struggle and ask yourself why. You can become so poisonous and toxic to yourself and those around you. The samurai shows me its possible to heal, for that I am grateful. Grateful for this wonderful work of art.

3:30 - You can hear the extra life / continue chime from the Genesis Sonic The Hedgehog games. It's the sound you hear when you earn a continue on the game to keep playing after you've lost your lives, and both fits in metaphorically with the song and video's themes about "continuing" and not giving up during hard times. Pretty crafty, genius-level shit right there. Right from the Genesis / Mega Drive: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5fWqqybhrRrmas

I spent the night there and in a conversation during a checkup, a doctor asked me what music I liked to listen to. They had let me keep my cell phone. I told him that I really liked Thundercat. He didn't know him. (he did know the TV series). I put this song and we listened to it. Today I am very well, fully recovered, and that episode is just a memory. This song reminds me to value what is really important in life. And that it is important to take care of yourself and give yourself the necessary time whenever you can. I can't believe I cried watching this. Dope video. I just know so many people that need that type of peace even when surrounded by those who love them so much. Thundercat out here letting everybody know mental illness is real and getting help is a good thing. I'm a year late, but I'm glad i saw this.

Carolyn Stone, Yes!!🤩 I love 70s, very early 80s sound/music. I notice Thundercats, Tuxedo and Silk Sonic, Daft Punk and some others music is capturing that sound from this Era (70s & 80s).

It would be great if they released an alternative video which is just Thundercat, Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins performing in the clouds

Jordan Dines their live performance on Jimmy Fallon is amazing. It's a little ragged but so heartfelt plus it has a short sick bass solo. I prefer it to the album version.

I love this collaboration Thundercat has with the legends Michael McDonald & Kenny Loggins. They both got heavy rotation on the R&B radio stations back in the days. So in other words alot of black folks (like myself) LOVE their music and are so thankful a new generation artist has come along and captured that sound and brought it back to life.

Thundercat is an amazing composer, producer, and musician. This song he wrote with Kenny and McD is incredible. I first heard it being done in a Kenny Loggins live concert on Soundstage back in 2018, and it blew me away! This man is a true artist, and his musical gifts need to be heard by a lot more people. (The video is a trip too).

It’s the way you come out of your personalised hell and the look you give to the loved one in front of you. In that moment something comedic clicks. The demons become the robbers that you can see in the cctv. You know at that moment that you’re in a situation. It’s important to look up, it’s valuable to realise that you’re a character in this, it’s vital to know that it’s your fight and then you have to show yourself the way. Who knows maybe the next time you look up you were still in that same hell, but at least you have an experience now.
