Thundercats should have won an Emmy just for this episode. This entire episode was something out of Don Bluth. I consider myself pretty manly, but Emrick's death was just heartbreaking. I cried during this episode. I cried like a baby. What makes this even more sad is that seedling at the beginning might as well have been Emrick.
@coleturner91066 жыл бұрын
I believe it was. For all we know the singing for the first seedling may have been a different period of time from when the thundercats found them, there was a gap in time, we don't know how long, we only see from the thundercats perspective, and as we learned, the petalars experience time faster.

I still love this reboot. I loved the original series as well, and I squealed a little bit when I heard Larry Kenny's voice come out of Claudus' mouth in the reboot. But man, this season took the show to new heights. It could've rivaled Avatar the Last Airbender in terms of story and fan base if they'd committed to a 2 more seasons. But with the return of Young Justice's season 3 in the near future, I'm hopeful as hell that Thundercats will get a second look by someone. Netflix did amazing with the Voltron reboot, maybe they can get Thundercats next?

@RequiemPoete3 жыл бұрын
Imagine if these things turned up in your garden and you allowed them to stay. None of the Petalars would see you for more than once, maybe twice a day, but that time would feel like months or years to them. Every generation would see you once in their lives, maybe twice if they were lucky, yet you would be eternal to them. Protecting their families for generations upon generations. It's such a weird perspective for humans to be put in. Usually in stories human families end up being befriended by elves or dwarves, and it's Uncle Gimly stopping by every decade or so for hundreds of years to check in on your line.

This has to be my fav episode. 1:09 is when the tears begin every time, and by the time they show that montage of Emrick's life is when I absolutely begin to lose it. Glad to know I'm not the only adult by far who feels this way. This episode especially, and others in this series are pretty deep, actually. Loved the music too. This stays true to the old Thundercats in the right ways, but they've made it more sophistocated and relevant. Absolutely LOVE it!!!!!

@@michaelgreenwood3413 I'm going to respectfully disagree. While this is definitely sad and tragic, it's clear the Petalars don't experience their short life span any different than we experience ours. So from his point of view he led a full life. Full of adventure. So while it's very sad and bitter sweet for Lion-o there's at least catharsis and closure. Jurassic Bark had no closure. Poor Seymor spent everyday for near 12 years waiting for Fry, wondering when he'd come home. And this was before the retcon.

My cat Minnie was 16 years old when she died, she was an outside cat because she preferred being outside and we just let her. We actually made her a tiny little house like a dog house but smaller with a bunch of blankets lining the inside and a cloth over the door for when it got cold, she went in the night but the thing that always stuck with me was that I found her outside of her house lying by the back door like she might have been calling for one of us in her final moments not wanting to be alone... but none of us ever heard her. What this long-winded story was leading up to was that this episode aired only about a half hour after we finished burring her and it hit me and my little sister in the feels like a tactical nuke, but even still we couldn't bring ourselves to shut it off we just sat there and cried. So to say this episode is special to me is underselling it, this literally came into my life at a time I really needed it.
