Thunderous Return! - Metal Detecting Our MOST ABUNDANT Location Ever, The Field of 1,000 Holes!

We have a lot of farm fields that we plan on metal detecting this winter. Some are enormous in size that will take us months to complete, and others are incredibly old with several colonial homes that once stood in them, But then there's this one; our incredible Field of 1,000 Holes! Now the items we find at this field are usually 1910's though the 1940's so it certainly aren't our oldest location, but the sheer number of items we pull from here is what keeps us coming back. Before the last planting the farmer did another deep plow, bringing dirt from a foot down right up to the surface so it could be like new again. Let's take our first shot at ole' faithful and see how it is to us in 2023!

Hi guys! The little statue was St. Joseph. People bury a statue of St. Joseph in their yards when their house is up for sale. It's supposed to be good luck and help your home sell fast. Could be that! Also, the fireman's parade heart was probably hung from a ribbon pin (like military pins), badge, not from a chain, so probably worn by a man. We also think the teacher's protection badge was from an insurance co. We love your channel~ Mary and Adam in NH (The Country Lady Antiques).

I can attest to the St. Joseph (patron saint of carpenters) statue! I buried a small St. Joe statue next to my front porch of the house we were selling and prayed for a well-qualified buyer. WOW, Back in 2009 I planted a Little statue at the outside corner of my condo praying to sell because I got my house the year before and it worked. My condo sold. People bury them in the corner or corners of their property. Great to see this field again. Congrats all.

Wow a Field that keeps on giving. Great hunt again. I went on a marble frenzy last year. Maybe find 2 to 4 marbles a year if I'm lucky. From September to December at least 25 marbles. Love all the tokens. I've found a couple Tokens kinda like the one you found Jason. The return for a reward. All three were insurance tokens. One said if found telegraph this number to the insurance company. The last one I found was a token shaped like a fish. If the person turned this token in the would get an oyster fork in return. That company was out of Chicago. Looking forward to your next video. Take Care

That is the field of a Thousand Tokens. After rummaging around there all day you need to redeem your Palmolive token at your local market for a cake to get cleaned up. Great finds.

On Rich's Elks piece,the design behind the elk is a clock face that reads 11 o'clock which I believe is in reference to the "11th hour" when a toast is given to members who have passed......I think.

Sad thing is that over here in the UK all those finds mean nothing to the hammered mad lunatics ( 90% of those who detect here ) who when detecting have that one thing on their mind, I have got to find that next hammered coin to brag to anyone listening then if it is a good one they do the stupid silly dances. .😟. Hi C.H. Just wanted to tell you that during the segment where y'all were looking at that "Heart Shaped Piece," that even before you mentioned that you thought your signal was indicating a "Wheat Penny" - I could swear that I saw a flat, perfectly round spot on the ground, which looked as though it might have very well been a coin, or token! If it wasn't a coin or a token, then perhaps it was a depression in a portion of the soil that you flipped, which had been made by either of those. Should you decide to look back at that part of your footage again, you should be able to spot it, as I did. I know you likely wouldn't be able to find that spot again, so that you can run your detector over it one more time, but I just thought I'd let you know about this anyway! Great video as always, with great and interesting finds as always too!! Have already watched your latest video, & will be anxious to see the next one, when you get it posted!! Yes! The famous field of 1000 holes! I love the past videos of this place. I wish I could detect that with yall. Once again, it doesn't disappoint. I hope to find my own field of 1000 holes one day. And a Plymouth key? Hey I could use a spare key for my 75 Fury. Lol. The tokens are insane. Why all the tokens in one area? Very strange. Maybe there was a token making factory there. Lol. And I always detect after heavy rainfall. Bad flooding here a few days ago washed up a beautiful deep blue marble. Also found a complete diecast toy jet. Lol. King of the 6 incher?!! Way to go! I don't know much about metal detecting, but how deep do you detect? The plow probably doesn't turn over dirt much deeper than 1-2 feet at most. It seems that if the soil gets churned up to reveal so much new stuff each year you go back, there could be some real cool stuff 3-4 feet or deeper down. I guess you wouldn't want to spend an hour digging a 4 foot deep hole though.

We have a field like that, but not a farmers field, it's a park in the rough. Dump was not being used after 1896.
