A late spring thunderstorm rolled through Huntington, Indiana on the evening of May 28, 2024 bringing with it vibrant lightning, constant thunder, torrential downpours, gusty winds, and small hail. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a lively thunderstorm!

I remember here in Iowa about a year or 2 ago we had such a long duration thunderstorm that was SO LOuD, It was a 6 hour storm and it sounded like the gods were having a great time at the celestial bowling alley. The loud rolling thunder just continued on with rain and winds. It was such a deep rolling thunder the sound just made the house rumble and you could feel it through your whole body. I wish I had thought about putting it on video and uploading it bit by bit.🌟

Thank you SO MUCH for this footage. In my neck of the woods, we didn't get many thunderstorms this year. Summertime just isn't the same without thunderstorms, crickets, migratory birds, and cicadas. 💚

Wonderful video, I live in California and we hardly ever get thunderstorms and if we do they are anemic with one or two remote flashes of lightening so distant you can’t hear any thunder. Fantastic video. I absolutely love these types of storms. Here in Serbia, we are getting this type of weather behavior in the last few years which was something unusual for climate here, but we got used to it. Last storm happened here two and a half weeks ago and the lightning was going non-stop! I followed it live on the weather radar app. The moment it got to our place, beforehand it was light show in the sky like approximately 20 miles away, lightning strikes were so active with hitting the ground. Loud and strong. Not to mention sky lightning. If I can, I will record the next storm and send it to you, hence temperatures here are way above 40°C (110°F).

I always wonder why the sound of thunder is super hard to record the right way. When playing it back, even here in this video, it doesn't sound real. Sounds like tons of low pitch sounds are missing. It's frustrating 😞. It would be good to create a mic specially designed to record thunder, and a speaker capable to perfectly play it back
