It's so interesting to grow up with these guys and grow old with them and see how they are now. They changed my life and still do now.

Watt's great. There's always like a million thoughts going through his brain but he can only get out a few at a time!

I love how Thurston is having these constant revelations as he catches up with what Mike is saying. Like he's solving a word puzzle for the whole conversation.

His shoes always tell a story, like he walks through gritty scenes every day of his life.

Watching this reminded me of seeing Firehose (must have been late 80's early 90's) in Newcastle England. Anyway the day after the gig I was walking in near the town centre (where i lived on the main road in and out of the city) and I saw Mike Watt driving the van cos he opened the window and gobbed out a massive green globule ha ha

Watt was driving on the left side in the UK? Amazing. Most bands would think that would be a crazy plan but if true I've got to give Watt cred for living the DIY, jammin' econo life to the maximum

Great conversation between two icons of the underground movement in the late 70s/early 80s. One from the east coast and the other from the West. 👍👍👍
@richarddufour68248 ай бұрын
Thanks for remembering we called it underground. Before the mainstream world invented "alternative".
@gernblanston33638 ай бұрын
@@richarddufour6824 Ugh...I might use that word for bands/artists who started in the mid/late 1990s and later, but never prior to that.
