Thanks. My friend thought of trying something new with it. At first, this layout design was going to be a one time thing, but since he and I liked it, along with some of you guys, he decided to keep it.

Hey, you're that guy who commented on Joe Monroe's upload of the THX Death Star trailer by taking some dialogue from A New Hope. My friend made a video using that official upload and even mentioned you in the description as inspiration. Here's the link if you're interested. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpzCZJyPbsR3g5I

Thanks! This version of the Deep Note is one of Christian‘s favorites, especially the SL and SR as well as the SBL and SBR channels. The way the voices are heard make it sound like a combination of a humming and buzzing noise, similar to the sound of the original lightsaber from Star Wars that Ben Burtt recorded, only less dangerous sounding.

@@SebastianSegura1138 One thing I didn't mention was that this layout design that my friend used for his separate channel videos starting with with this one was actually kind of inspired by one of the layout designs of the THX website from back in the day. More specifically, the one from 2007. Here's the link to it recovered from the Web Archive. web.archive.org/web/20070202085751/www.thx.com/ That wasn't really intentional, but he thought it looked great so that's why he kept it. That, and also because I liked it and apparently some of you guys liked it too.

@@SebastianSegura1138 In the comments of your previous video, you said the THX Wings trailer is basically extinct. That is true, unless somebody (like a projectionist) has a film print of Return of the Jedi from either California or Texas with the Wings trailer included. According to this website, it says that Jedi premiered in three movie theaters that were THX certified at the time back in 1983. Two of them were in Texas, (Addison and Dallas), and the last one was in Los Angeles, California. www.in70mm.com/library/engagements/film/r/return_jedi/index.htm It seems like the THX Ultimate Demo Disc is the only DVD to include the Wings trailer since no other demo disc before or after it had. (I should point out every time we tried sending you this comment in your video, KZbin kept erasing it for some reason).

Notable for being included with the "The Adventures of Indiana Jones" set on DVD, this trailer appeared in late 1999 and has been rarely seen since. Only known to be framed in scope, this trailer zooms and fades in the words "LET'S SEE IT IN" with the THX logo fading in with a lens flare going across the elongated T. This trailer, contrary to popular belief was released in the fall of 1999 as evidenced by the THX Ultimate Demo Disc. Due to the actual film that this trailer was released with being unknown, the current film on the page is a guess.

Love the new layout but would you possibly do separate channel videos of broadway 3d, broadway 1984, genesis and the 1 minute version of eclipse
@hanleiaoldestson75503 жыл бұрын
Glad you love the new layout design, and thanks for asking. Unfortunately, Christian Black, the guy who made this, doesn't have any software to isolate the actual channels of a THX trailer. He records each speaker and GarageBand on his phone and then edits them together. The only disc that has Broadway 3D is the THX Blu-ray calibrator disc that came out in 2010, and Christian doesn't have it. He only has the 2003 reissue of the THX Ultimate Demo Disc, and since that disc has 1984 version of Broadway, which mix do you want? The original mix, or the 1990 mix from the THX Wow! featurette? As for the one minute version of Eclipse and Genesis, Christian won't be able to do that. Sorry. Again, thanks for asking.

@@brandonthemainstreetelectr1204 You're in luck! Christian has all the recordings of the original 84 mix, but not the 90s mix. He'll have to recalibrate the Sony STR-DN1000's system to make sure all speakers are working.

Since I didn’t have any software to actually isolate audio channels, I recorded them all one at a time on my phone in GarageBand for iOS. Then I edited each recording all together and have some of panned between left and right to give the illusion that they were all mixed in 5.1, or in this case, 5.1 Surround EX.

@@Somekindamugaguy It’s a little complicated to explain. I was actually going to do a video tutorial on how I made these, but since the sound system was going to be put away, I didn’t have time to do it. That being said, I do plan on making a video showing off the sound system and A/V receiver, that is if any body’s still interested.

@@MovieFan1912As said a few times, the subwoofer was the last thing I would record. Since I used a Sony STR-DN 1000 AV receiver that had a 5.1/7.1 setup, the subwoofer was the only speaker to not just have a power button so it could be turned on or off, but it also have some dials to adjust the settings for how loud something is when a rumbling could occur. Or at least I think that’s how it works. I never really used the system ever since it was packed up.
