They definitely have slight musical elements like the Omni ( which is the only thing considered as "synth" ), in the song 'age of consent' , and such like that. Do you know bands like A flock of seagulls , and the psychedelic furs , or even some Siouxie Sioux and the banshees ( spellbound specifically) ? Those are known to be synth pop/elements of. For modern day synth would definitely recommend Yeule! Like tbh with you, u might as well just say bands like Crystal castle and The cure are synth pop lollll !!!
