TI-89 Titanium Episode 2: Solving Systems of Linear Inequalities

Keystrokes:
1. Go to the Y= editor
2. Type in your 1st inequality
3. Press f6, 8. below
4. Type in your 2nd inequality
5. Press f6, 7. above
6. Press diamond, f3
7. Press f5, 5. intersection
* So the calculator can graph the functions faster, you to the Window editor ( diamond, f2), and go to the x res:, and type in 10.
*If x res is greyed out, press f1, format (9) then scroll down to discontinuity detection and turn it off.
*The TI-89, TI-92 family, and the TI-Voyage 200 are fully compatible with the TI-89
*The TI-89 Titanium can't graph dotted or solid lines
*Above on the TI-89 Titanium means greater then, and Below means less than.

The TI-89 Titanium I recommend because the TI-Nspire can't really do much and doesn't have many programs, that's why it has the TI-84 keypad. Besides it's TI's most powerful graphing calculator.

You should keep it if your cousin gave it to you. This calculator worked great when I took algebra because of the systems solver, and the symbolic manipulation came in very handy.

No because the programing language on the TI-89 and the TI-84 are different. I do envision having the TI-89 in the future because it is required for a student taking Calculus or Advanced Statistics. Compared to other graphing calculators like the Casio Classpad 300, the TI-89 is like a kids calculator because it has a more powerful CAS (Computer Algebra System), and has a faster processor.

@PianoScience do you happen to know how to personalize the custom menu? i tried to check the ti89 guide but its confusing (at least from my perspective) could you give me an specific example on how to apply it? (not necessarily a video) i'd appreciate that (since nobody has bothered to do it)
