Litres per minute is better because a litre is a fixed size. Gallons are smaller in the USA vs. UK. I'm assuming you are using 3.8 litre gallons?

Correct US gallon.

@@lightblade543 Good video regardless of my nit-pick! I flowed the 267 on my car yesterday and comparing to your video confirmed that it was working ok. Volts makes a big deal, at 12V it flows substantially less. (5.5l/min @ 12V vs. 6.5l/min at 13-13.5V)

R u using AN6 or AN8 lines? How will that affect flow? Thanks for testing.
@lightblade5432 жыл бұрын
8an. It's 2 feet on a test rig so no affect.

@@lightblade543 thanks Bud. I’m using the same 467x2 AN8 in my Fore return system. Could u test a twin 467 setup? That would be interesting. I’ve never seen anybody test dual fuel pumps.

@@todd5082 yeah I have a dual 267 hat here. Only problem is my power supply won't handle over 30amps. Plan to get a better one for dual and triple pumps but they get pricey for ones that can handle 60-90 amps so haven't bought one yet. When I do I will get some more testing and vids up.

@@todd5082 a typical 8an system with filter and 10-12ft feed will see about 2psi loss from prefilter to rail with a new clean filter. That's about 3-4% flow loss. I have some older videos measuring pressure loss as your filter gathers debris.
@todd50822 жыл бұрын
@@lightblade543 u r the only person doing this kind of testing. U could use your 30 amp to test how fuel filters, multiple 90 degree fittings, a smaller 3/8 return line, etc affect flow.

What do you test your pumps in, gas? Can they be tested in wd40
@lightblade5432 жыл бұрын
No, you want a test fluid with a similar density/specific gravity as gasoline with out the explosive and flammable attributes. If your looking for something readily available, low odor mineral spirits is nearly identical sg to gas and way less dangerous. This will ensure accurate test results for pumps or injectors etc.
