The editing of these series of videos (9) was painful and took nearly 2 years on my spare time.
It has been filmed by friends and amateurs, from 3 different sources on different types of video camera, with a very very variable quality, from medium to very bad.
We focused the editing on the martial art moves as much as the sources allowed us to. This is more about the gesture than the spectacular effect.
It took a while to create something that holds together.
These very traditional schools (Ryu) are not famous among the non Martial artist affiliated.
The video were supposed to be released, but they never did nor will (...), so here they are, so everyone can appreciate these very specials videos, from these talented martial artists.
I hope you'll appreciate them.
Credits goes to my 3 friends for filming, and myself and another friend for sourcing the videos, editing, and encoding.
The project was completed in 2008 ! (filmed in 2005 !!)

Thank you for your effort. I am a member of this school, and it is a great pleasure to see my teacher's teacher (Hirai Taisuke) in a embu video. Do you know any information regarding this demonstration (such as name of event, place, etc)?

Hello Minh, that was filmed in 2005 in a public event called "Paris Taikai", The place was Halle Carpentier if I remember correctly, it's sadly not a regular event anymore, a great loss. I have on my this channel all the other video edited from the event. It was... a while ago so it's SD resolution.

@@olivierJT Hi Olivier. Thank you for the information. The video was great. I did not realize it required heavy editing until I read the caption. I also watched other videos of the event. Can not thank you enough. I commented on this video though because, as mentioned above, I am currently a member of this particular school. For your information, the one who sat in the video, Hirai Taisuke, passed away a few years ago. The leader of the school at Nippon Budokai now is Hirai Masato, his brother. Arakawa Osamu is leading his own team as well.
