I hope that the icon for tablet gets updated. It's so light that it's difficult to see how many stacks there are once it reaches double digits (which is a minor thing, of things which I might want changed it would be one of the least important). For using obsidian shard to over-cap pen: to my knowledge that still works (titan's bane passive will do the same if you have 40% physical pen without the titan's passive). Also of note, dominance gives 20% pen on auto attacks and can break the cap (allowing 60% pen on auto attacks and does not have a cooldown).

I feel like the damage and health nerfs were an under the radar huge buff to tablet. It still does the same damage it did before that change, and that damage is much harder to achieve through other items. Plus the damage you’re doing is going to be a larger percentage of their health.

It's nerfs happened first, so no. Not really. On top of that, book got nuked and you can't entertain tablet without book. Needing two underperforming items when the class is underperforming is a yikes from me dawg. If you aren't on tia or merlin, tablet never even enters the conversation. Agni as a distant 3rd, but with soul reaver so good, might as well just do that.

@@johnflory3306 I wasn’t talking about the nerfs that happened prior, I simply said that 10.6 was a stealth buff to the item, for the reasons I mentioned. It doesn’t mean it’s strong on every mage, or even most mages. It’s simply stronger now than it was pre 10.6.

@muddygeomancer6797 Merlin has plenty of patches where he isn't good. While he always does damage, much like Zeus, there a plenty of metas where he just isn't safe enough to play. When assassins are super strong early, or when tanks can just roll over you in seconds, for example. While kukulkan can still get good use out of book, not only does his passive not interact with tablet, he doesn't have the ability bank to cycle the procs enough to get good use out of tablet right now. It does so little damage that you need tiamat levels of cycling to justify it.

@@firstnamelastname3121 you'd think so, but much like the recent diablo power crush, when you smush the stats of every item, you actually just need those stats even more to meet your breakpoints. Losing percentage pen, cooldown, or other useful boons for items that don't do enough to mitigate these losses will always be less efficient, and their previously mentioned nerfs ensured that. Not a buff.

That is conquest blue buff, other game mode blues still have CD. He is a caster, pretty sure he would know.

@@XdeadsoulXful Actually, Duel does give CDR. Joust dosen't. In joust everyone gets 15 mp5 if one person has blue buff. The only benefit the person picking it up gets, is 4% of you mana back for hitting abilities on enemy gods
