There is a huge difference between a game being in early access because it has a few bugs to iron out, and a game being slapped with the early access tag in order for devs to release it early, full of bugs and barely functional then saying "duh its early access" The devs have spent a year hyping up the features and it's come out missing most of them, did the devs give players a list of features missing in the early access version? No, they just said Early Access and players are expected to guess if it's polished enough or not. Early Access is not an excuse for a bad game. It's become a really toxic trend for dev teams to think "hmm this game is bad, it needs 4 years more development, but we want money so lets slap early access on it and just release it for a cash boost" The devs have a lot of credit in the bank with most players given their history of the last 2 games being great, but that doesn't excuse some of the most basic issues players are fighting, and the fact the devs essentially shut down all feedback routes to damage control. I'm personally not angry at all, I haven't bought the game yet and will wait until the devs stop being so vague about how they want to implement mod support, but the problems people are facing is not excused by the Early Access label.

I bought this SIM for hot laps and to enjoy good physics until they sort things out. There are so many other complete and great Sims out there already. This one is under construction and for a good EA discount. It's a no-brainer for me.

I don't care what anyone says, AC EVO feels absolutely amazing. Was driving few models last night on couple of tracks, and I was blown away how good it feels. Feels spot on. Actually it's the best feeling sim so far. Early? Yes. Buggy? Yes. Early alpha? Yes. I only hope that Kunos won't screw the right driving feel that we have as of now. First AC had amazing driving feel in alpha, but they lost it in later stages.

The game has huge potential and given what the devs have produced in the last 2 titles, they have credit in the bank for me. But I won't be buying it in EA until mod support comes, the base game of Assetto Corsa is awful in terms of proper content, online racing, achievements etc, but the content manager mods make it one of the best sims out there. The base game of ACE looks like a relatively good start (AC and ACC were both rough at launch too) but no mod support yet and the comments the devs made about mod support concern me.

@@sentajno3128 Yeah, I expect that will be a few years away tbh, the issue is not when, but how. The devs have given multiple mixed messages about mod support, and their most recent comments are concerning. “Modding is definitely one of the open topics on the table, but no decision has been made yet." “This time, we want to see how we can support the good modders in a way that can create a synergy between the studio and the most talented creators.” Sounds to me like they want to put up arbitrary barriers to entry, maybe having to submit mods for example? I get why that would be a good thing in some cases, but it depends HOW they implement it. My guess is they have seen how big the mod scene is for AC1, and want a slice of the revenue for work they haven't done.

In general people have hated on yhe game a lot which is crazy to me because it is nowehere near finished, it will come out in fall 2025 so people should buy in with the expectation of it being really really bad, if that's not worth €32, don't buy the early access

No matter the price there is no excuse for them locking half the cars behind an Internet connection. Yes it is early access so some jank is to be expected but as things stand it is showing some very concerning signs that they are going to follow the same tricks as GT7 etc and lock cars and tracks away from offline play and limit modding to an extent it wasn't before.

@Duncan23 I do agree that offline mode is important, I have 500 hours in AC1 and almost never drive multiplayer, except on a local dedicated server with my younger brother. So I don't like forced online, however I think with enough community backlash, they might consider changing that

I saw early access, and I knew this wasn't the game people will expect...yet. I mean, they told everybody it's ea and the amount of content in it. So raging over some minor bugs and not enough content is just dumb. Not sure if that's what the outcry is about, but the Physics seem fine, the graphics look good. I got what I wanted, everything else will come with time. Now we need to wait if they update it frequently enough. It sounded like the EA period shouldn't be too long, but you never know these days. Hotfix in less than 24h is a good sign already.

Well, I can see why there was a massive pile up on the intro... did you see with your playback that the marshall was waving a green flag while your car was plonked right across the track... I would look in the settings if you can sack a marshall, or at least get him some decent training!! When I marshalled at Donnington and SIlverstone I would have been booted out on day 1 for waving a green with a car blocking the track (not that I ever even got to the level of flag marshal) :)

I really dislike the visuals of this game. This game has beautiful physical assets but everything looks way too polished, like an upscaled Forza 5. In the modern era of driving sims/games this visual direction isn't it. Even Forza Motorsport 2023, which did almost nothing right, looks way better than this game. It's unfortunate, but this is early access, hopefully, there is a graphics update in the pipeline.
