To be fair, there's nothing Mercedes could've done with Lewis's pitstop. Everyone going for mediums to the end had to stop once the safety car was called. The only possible alternative would've been Bottas doing the 1-stop, which may have been otherwise slower anyway. Regardless, hindsight is 20/20. Wait, why am I talking about a computer-simulated F1 racer's pit strategy, again?

Not like AI could've thought about it, but in real life Hamilton should've slown down to extend gap to Bottas. Then it would make it easier for Mercedes to double stack. Time Lewis lost in pits he would lose anyway on track before pitting, but only to Bottas to whom he would gain under safety car, and he wouldn't be overtaken by others behind him. Still, George's 1:33,0 was untouchable so only shot Mercedes had was for Hamilton to overtake Ben. And here I am discussing computer strategy with you...

24:28 Yep, we say "rapido" ("rapida" for cars as they're female in Italian) but more commonly we say "veloce" (speedy) or "velocissima" (literally the speediest but often used just to mean really fast not necessarily the fastest but close). I think the whole point of the practice programme being hard is so it is harder to improve your car, because you’re only in the second season and already have the fastest car. Not hating on your series but I think if you kept it on the same difficulty throughout it would give it more longevity and make it more enjoyable. Just reiterate I’m not hating on your series and have thoroughly enjoyed it

In my experience, the practice difficulty is just plain off sometimes. Like the quali sim requires a lap time it predicts as P5 that would have been easy P1 in actual quali.

It turns out that he's been lowering the difficulty in practice, which means quicker accumulation of resource points, and points mean prizes! Although, I'm sure the difficulty was still higher than I could ever dream of competing at.

The game is great but to go from a brand new team, to world and constructor champions, on 110 difficulty, is just way too easy. This should take 5 years (seasons) minimum. Just like that you’ve accomplished the ultimate goal 1 month into the game being released. And the joy or goal of playing the game decreases

Also one of the problems is with 50 % races, the fast AI cars always get stuck in traffic if you are on a Track where it's 1 Stop vs. 2 Stop... this race was a brilliant example. The only option is lower the races to 25 %, then everyone does a 1 stop which also is kinda boring or up the races to 100 % so the fast AI cars are way more ahead when pitting so they don't run into traffic... but 100 % races are super long, interesting for sure but not the best option for content creators...

The AI is awful cutting through traffic, in real life they stay out until they’ve built up a large enough gap and do their pit stop and not come out in traffic but doing a 50% race means they can’t do that. Then they stay stuck behind slower cars for far too long. And their race strategies are awful, what’s the point of Bottas and Russell qualifying on mediums if they’re doing 2 stops anyway. Could have easily done a 1 stop and avoided being stuck behind all that traffic. To go from being slower than Williams last season to being the best car on the grid very early in season 2 is just wrong

Let me explain why Ben did this to win the title in just 2 Seasons: - First off, he probably lowered down the difficulty (even in max difficulty) in Free Practice Sessions every race, so he can stack up as much as many resource points as possible come and after races for future development. (in reality, you can actually overachieve what they expect from the results that are given to you before, and during the season.) - Second, he used at least 5 to 6 engines in a season to easily on pace with the rest of the pack (including Mercedes late in the season), and be much consistent as seasons gone by. - and third, even at Max difficulty, he probably overachieved on what the expectations of the car, the season at hand, and so forth.

I got Anthoine as my teammate since s1. It only felt right to honor him that way, after what happened last year... I felt maybe at least I could give him (his AI) a chance at greatness in f1, even if it’s in a game. And happy to say it was the best choice I made. Currently in S4, with upgraded car and HQ, and Anthoine is P1 in the overall points. I don’t mind not having a shot at the title, just happy to see my teammate rise to glory after seeing him struggle throughout the my team career. Just wanted to let that out, after Ben showed us a sneak peek of the driver line up next season. I’m happy to see Anthoine getting that Ferrari seat, he should’ve deserved so much more in real life... Rest In Peace, mate...
