I’m left leaning but I didn’t think Splash mountain was racist. Most people who went on that ride didn’t even know what song of the south was and it wasn’t really that tied to the movie. Tba mostly suffers because there’s no villain and the story is so weak. Not following the story of the movie was such a missed opportunity

If anything, Splash Mountain handled its source material much better, effectively adapting it in a way that made the ride a timeless classic in ways the original movie never was. TBA absolutely squanders the potential of its source material by opting not to use any of the darker elements that would have worked well with a thrill ride.

Tiana’s DEI Adventure was definitely designed for the smaller Disneyland attraction. The same amount of props in Orlando leaves a whole lotta dead space.

Thank you for a constructive review of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Splash Mountain was far superior in suspense and execution. I am concerned how often this ride has malfunctioned since opening. This does not bode well for long term maintenance. What are your feelings on Madame Leota's Carriage House Gift Shop? Another example of value engineered that pulls scale and focus away from The Haunted Mansion

Were there on Wednesday with LL. Tiana, Rise, Matterhorn down most of the day. Other LLs were unavailable most of the day. Very crowded. Won’t be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed.

ROTR is perfect because it was created from scratch. They didn’t try to shoehorn a new attraction into an old one. And they really didn’t take their time with Tiana’s either. I haven’t been on Tiana’s yet. I’m just basing it off of videos I’ve seen and my love of Splash Mountain. However I do love the “ride” itself so I will be doing it every time I visit anyway.

Rode it today. I didn’t notice any “empty spaces” in Tiana’s. I constantly felt I had a lot to look at. The upper section after the second lift and before first drop is especially improved. Splash had empty space there. The story is muddled though. Like why are we shrinking? Couldn’t hear the explanation if there even was one. And why can we barely see the screen of Mama Odie before the final lift? It’s placed totally wrong. I miss the vultures here. Really the only thing I miss on Splash though. I thought the new ride was executed fairly well but there are some loose ends that need to be fixed. At least the ride itself was working. The only thing broken was the waterwheel wasn’t turning.

A lot of empty space in the frog section of the ride and then on the other sides of the vignettes it’s pretty plain. I will say it’s not as bad in our version compared to WDW’s. Magic Kingdoms version has even longer gaps.

Thanks for the honest review of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I love Princess and the Frog and Tiana, but this attraction is a miss...mostly because it has very little to do with the movie and fails to use "visual storytelling" to advance the -- thin -- storyline. (You MUST read signs and hear the dialogue to understand what's going on.) A lot of investment was put behind the "Tiana's Foods" concept (the watertower, the delivery van, the queue interiors) but really that's all irrelevant: Tiana could throw a Mardi Gras party at her house without being a food entrepreneur. Meanwhile the story is about needing a band for the party as apparently Tiana forgot to book a band until the day of the party? This implies she has little investment in this party "for the community" since getting a band is an afterthought. However, on the first lift hill they could have set up the story by having a silhouette projection on the frosted glass doors behind Tiana of trombone and tuba players "rehearsing" and we'd hear awful discordant tones. Tiana would have her hands clasped over her ears to block the awful music as we arrive, then she asks for our help to find more musicians for the party. With that simple and cheap Marc Davis-esque visual storytelling change, it sets up the urgency of our mission, makes it clear Tiana DID have a band lined up for the party, and suggests the meaningful idea that we need to "go to the bayou" to find a deeper/authentic level of talent. Also, changing the Dr. Facilier character to a "bayou magician" or "bayou wizard" or a "huckster/illusionist" (no actual powers) and dropping voodoo references would be a way for Disney to maintain this AAA character and drop the cultural insensitivity. Adding conflict with a story element that he's trying to "stop the music" with ominous silhouettes and his voice in some of the dark spaces could significantly improve the attraction's 4-quadrant appeal.

I finally rode it this Wednesday that passed splash mountain was my favorite Disneyland ride of all time what I think of the new tiana ride it was okay I’m glad they didn’t change the boat or the river way and drops you still get soaking wet but the tiana theme was ok but not as good as the rabbit theme I think it needs some theme improvements it think it needs the villain at the end some spots empty need to put more characters there and maybe some sprinklers in the beginning some ppl can get a little bit more wet would help the experience of the ride more

This ride is going to have small shut downs to re sync the ride because the boats queue the animatronics. It takes about an hour to reboot from what I’ve heard. I think when they put too many boats in that makes it worse

First off, The extended new line is insanely weak. You saying good job blows my mind! If you are going to create an "efficient" line in 2024 it could have had way more interactive magic in that. Second, They would never touch our Rivers of America because Walt actually sailed on it. When they shortened it for Galaxies Edge. I thought that was a way bigger deal than Florida losing it completely. And my 3rd and final point, Tiana's to me is way better at DLR than in Florida. The scenes are closer together and it does work better. However, as a huge Disney fan. I would have done it wayyyyy different.

I know this is going to be a controversial opinion but I think HollywoodLand is one of the worst lands at the Disney parks. (Monsters Inc & Disney Animation are the only good things there.) 1. Disney got rid of Muppet Vision 3-D and Aladdin and they never confirmed why and also Mickey's Philharmagic is a great show it's just not the most popular in the land because Monsters Inc is getting way more attendance then that attraction also #BringBackDCAMuppetVision3D 2. Stage 17, Stage 12, and Hyperion theatre is just standing there abandoned Stage 17 used to be Who Wants to be a Millionaire Paly It from 2001-2004 then for the Frozen Fun event in 2015 it was Olaf's Snow Fest, then in 2021-2022 it was a Avengers Campus Store and then it closed again. Stage 12 used to be Hollywood and Dine but that got closed and it was turned into Flynn's Arcade for the Tron Lifecycle event then in 2019 it got turned into a Captain Marvel meet and greet to promote the film and then it got abandoned again. Hyperion theatre used to be Aladdin from 2003-2016, Frozen 2016-2020, and then for a limited time Rogers: The Musical in 2023

The replacement of Splash Mountain wasn't done out of creative inspiration but due to political compulsions. Or what can be defined as ideological fetishes---ie, signaling one's "virtue." In so doing, they've installed a story that alludes to a Louisiana salt mine associated with slavery and where characters speak with a black dialect ("I don't know nothin' bout birthin' babies, Miss Scarlett").
