TIBET VLOG4: The Train to Lhasa, World's Most Beautiful Railway / 英国小哥坐中国最美铁路去拉萨 高反缺氧被大妈鄙视

When I was in Tibet, I had the opportunity to travel along (possibly) the most beautiful railway line in the world - the Lhasa - Nyingchi Line, which only went into operation mid way through 2021. The scenery is truly stunning, and thankfully, even though it was raining when I departed, the weather ended up being perfect. Blue skies, mountains, lakes, rolling clouds. Everything you could imagine! Plus, I got to speak with (and probably annoyed) some of the other passengers aboard the train.

When you come to China, you will see how warm, hospitable and happy Chinese people are, they respect every foreigner no matter where they are from and live a good life. This also shows that the Communist Party's governance is very successful. But foreign media is indeed full of fake news about China, including genocide and forced labor in Xinjiang, which makes me wonder if foreigners have the Internet, and what amazes me most is that some people believe the fake news.

At first I thought he is Han Chinese , then he told us his name and that's ethnic Tibetan. Han Chinese and Tibetans share the same ancestors thousands of years ago.

I guess China never showcased much of its natural beauty to the world in the past. It was more like keeping everything to itself. When Western media bad-mouthed about China, the impression of most outsiders about China was that it was ridden with poverty everywhere, slums, squatters, poor sanitation, food insufficiency you name it.

Get to travel wherever they want (on High Speed Rail), Tibetan language represented, houses all look traditional Tibetan, monks, people allowed to continue their traditional practises and cultural customs. And now ability to be connected with the rest of the world, young people have opportunities (university and computing) Better healthcare, more options. Dwindling exiled Tibetan community in India don't enjoy any of this luxury. What freedom are you talking about?😄

I traveled between Lhasa and Nyingchi 6 years ago by road! There wasn't even high speed road. It took a whole day to travel. Everyone is car sick.
